General / Transformation parameters UTM in Gaus-Krüger DHHN
« on: March 01, 2019, 05:14:50 PM »
Hello,

we have used the new DJI Phantom RTK drone to map a large quarry. We used the DJI base station and positioned it on a well known point. As we are located in southern germany we normally use the german coordinates - Gauss-Krüger 3. However, we had to measure the location of the base station in WGS84and know have the whole project saved as WGS84 in Agisoft.

For the creation of the mine plan we have to transfer the WGS84 coordinates into Gauss-Krüger. While it is possible to transform them into ETRS89, it does not work into Gaus-Krüger. We rechecked the coordinates and they were all wrong.

I suggest that the transform parameters are not correct. Does anyone knows how to get the right parameters for

Versatz/Offset, Rotation, Skalierung/Scaling and especially Geoidhöhe/Geoid height ?

General / Wrong heights after exporting Ptcloud or DEM
« on: July 19, 2018, 11:17:33 AM »
Hello,

i have a very big issue with my projects after exporting them and analyze them in ArcGIS.

My GCPs where measured e.g. using UTM/WGS84. In Agisoft I see the right elevations of the points in my pointcloud. However, If I export my cloud (using the german coordinate system DHDN) as .LAS and load it into ArcGIS, I get the wrong elevations!
They are shifted by 20m or more!

If I measure my GCP in DHDN and then upload the model in ArcGIS the elevations are correct.

Thus, the transformation of the pointcloud or also DEM is not correct which is a very big issue! Any idea how to fix this?

Best regards

General / Can't open file error
« on: July 06, 2018, 10:07:00 AM »
Hi everybody,

I have a big problem with one of my projects I have been running through the last 5 days. I have 4 different Photoscan projects saved in one location that can't be opened any more! All other projects can be opened easily.

The exact message is:

Can't open file: The system can't find the given path: D:/Projects/XXX/XXX/project.zip

I urgently need the data, so what can I do?

I read in another thread that I may change the names of folders with the ending ...1
So for example elevation 1 to elevation. However that does not work!

Any oder ideas?

General / Re: Problems with exporting points into ArcGIS
« on: April 30, 2018, 01:29:43 PM »
Hi,

no I created shapes in the dense point cloud view! But when I try to export them as .dxf the heights are complety incorrect. It should be around 500 - 550m but instead it is 1260-1290 or so...

Other suggestions? Or is it only possible to get the real heights in DEM/Ortho mode?

That would be bad because there I have a lot of vegetation...

General / Problems with exporting points into ArcGIS
« on: April 30, 2018, 12:34:49 PM »
Hello,

I calculated a Densecloud of a quarry and included some points and polylines directlly in the pointcloud by hand afterwards. I wanted to use these points and breaklines to create a topo in ArcGIS. However, if I export the points to ARCGIS they do not have an elevation!! To create a topo I need the elevation of the points.

Is there any possibility to get the elevation of the points?

General / Polylines in 3D Modell do not appear on DEM
« on: April 23, 2018, 12:16:35 PM »
I have a small problem in digitizing the scarps/breaklines of a clay pit using Agisoft polylines. We need to draw this polylines and export them to finally create a mine plan. However, if we draw polylines on the 3D Model they won't appear on the DEM or Othomosaic and vice versa.

Is there any posibility to draw polylines in the pointcloud or 3d model that also appear on the DEM?

Would be very thankful if somebody has an advice.

Btw: Is there any software solution that combines digitalization, visualization and calculations of volumes etc. using point clouds as input which is affordable?

best regards

General / Measuring Volume in scaled but local coordinate System
« on: February 23, 2018, 06:27:09 PM »
Hello everybody,

i am pretty new with Agisoft Photoscan Pro and have a problem by measuring a Volume of a mound (soil). The workflow was as usual, Align photos, make dense cloud, mesh and DEM. I then inserted two Markers and added a scalebar (in this case, 2m distance). The coordinate system was set as local (from the beginning to the end).

Now, I have the problem that I can measure distances inside my modell without any problem, also measuring the height of the mound is possible. Though, if I want to calculate the Volume of the mound by making a polygon around it, the result is a Volume that does not make any sense.

The diameter of the mound is appr. 6 meter, the height 1m and the volume calculated is 0.5m³.

Does anyone know why this happens?
