General / Re: DEM with only 2 GCPs
« on: July 26, 2018, 07:49:50 PM »
Greetings, in my case, after entering or importing the images to the program, I go to the reference panel, and in the CONVERT COORDINATES icon I choose the desired system and so, the coordinates of the photos are transformed to the required and in your case they would be transformed to the system of your GCP, after converting the coordinates, I continue with the normal process of processing ...

Try what I say, I hope the info can be useful ...

By the way, and I really share what the partner says, the minimum GCP in the field for a good reference are 3 points, now that if the area is getting bigger and bigger you will need more GCP, but the minimum is 3 to 4 to have good reference...

General / PROCESSING IN WATER BODIES
« on: July 26, 2018, 04:58:27 PM »
Greetings, please could you give me some recommendation regarding the processing of images taken in bodies of water, for example large rivers, lakes, dams, etc ...

When processing images taken from drone in bodies of water, AGISOFT in said zone shows a cloud of dense points very varied in height among other details, which does not go according to reality and shows very distant and distant points, I do not know what procedure continue for said area, if eliminate them, or through some configuration that body of water can be processed ...

In addition to the office process, you should have some consideration in the field at the time of flight with the drone, some configuration of the camera so that it does not capture the reflection of the water and does not affect the images, and then the processing is correct. ..

What recommendations can you give me for processing and taking pictures in the field for these bodies of water?

Thank you in advance for your comments...

P.S. I attach images downloaded from the internet as an example of bodies of water

Greetings, for these cases of 3d models, I imagine of terrestrial objects like statues, etc, I use RECAP PHOTO, it gives me good results, but if I'm not mistaken, with AGISOFT you can also do it, I share some videos link of said procedure, I hope the information can be useful ...

General / Re: ORTHOMOSAICO LEAVES WITH POOR COLORS

Greetings, I give a feedback to my exposed subject, just in case it could be useful for other colleagues ...

So far in the program AGISOFT PHOTOSCAN to generate the orthomosaic, I still see the img with low colors, I have not found options within the program to improve the quality of colors, and if I export this orthomosaic to kmz to be able to view it in GOOGLE EARTH , as I still see with low colors, I would not know how to improve colors from photoscan ...

Now, if I visualize the ortomosaic from ARCGIS, the colors are seen more lit, more vivid, just what I wanted to see in photoscan and could not, then, I proceeded to export again the ortomosaic from arcgis in tiff format, and the result is with the desired colors, more lit ...

So until now this procedure would be a temporary solution to my problem, I'm not sure if the procedure is correct or if exporting again from arcgis, affecting or causing loss of metadata within the exported ortomosaic for the second time, although it drops very little resolution (depending on the dpi) ...

I would be very grateful if you could give me your comments about my procedure and that you could recommend me to have a more effective and correct solution ...

Thank you in advance for the comments ...

General / Re: Problem of contours

...
Greetings, I'm just taking my first steps in PHOTOSCAN, for a project now last I have that inconvenience, in photoscan I generate the contours, but apparently I could not generate them in an interval less than 1m ...

So do the following, from photoscan, export the contours and also the DEM of the natural terrain (with the classification of points), and with the help of ARCGIS, import the DEM and generate the desired contours even with intervals less than 1m, inside of arcgis, in ARCTOOLBOX there are the options for the generation of contours at different intervals and there are also options to be able to soften those generated, it is possible that with ARCGIS you can solve your problem ...

I hope the information can be useful ...

Greetings from a distance, I regret that you have problems in the transformation of coordinates, I do not have much knowledge in the program, but I could suggest the following:

If you already have all your project generated in UTM / WGS 84, I would recommend that you export all the information with the initial coordinate system, and those files exported with a third program transform it to the desired system, I imagine that there would be no problem with the elevations wrong ...

Another option would be that at the beginning when you create your project, insert the images and control points, do first hand the transformation of coordinates and after that all the processing with AGISOFT, I imagine that with it the processing would be done with the new system of coordinates and when exporting the information in the end you would not have any problem ...

That's my little comment, if I'm wrong, I'd really appreciate it if you could correct me ...

And if you have already solved the problem, it would be good if you could share how you did it ...

You have a good day...

Greetings from a distance Stihl, thank you very much for the comment, gave me the idea to be able to make the classification of the points ...

I had to play with the parameters, see the difference and the different results I got with each parameter, my terrain is not so wavy, and the parameters I chose were: maximum angle 15 °, maximum distance 0.05 and cell size 10, between all the parameters, the indicated one gave me a better result classifying almost all the points of terrain, I hope to have implemented well my criteria for that selection ...

In any case, I would appreciate very much that based on your experience you can indicate any observations or recommendations to be taken into account in this procedure in the future ...

Again, thank you very much for the response, have a nice day ..

Greetings, please could you help me with some tips for the classification of points within the cloud of dense points, especially to separate points of land, vegetation and building ...

Within PHOTOSCAN, TOOLS menu, there is an option to classify points, but it asks me to enter certain parameters for the automatic classification, these parameters are not clear on how to assign them, they could indicate what values could be placed in each one, it is based on terrain and how could these parameters vary for flat, semi-mountainous, totally mountainous terrain ...

I appreciate your comments ...

General / ORTHOMOSAICO LEAVES WITH POOR COLORS

Greetings to all, I am dabbling little by little in the area of the use of drones for the creation of ortomosaics, but the ortomosaic comes out with poor colors, I would like to see a little more color, for example a little more green, to better differentiate the vegetation, etc.

In PHOTOSCAN there is some option in which the quality of the ortomosaic can be improved, improve the contrast, saturation, etc ?? or that can be done with third programs, and if so, what program do you recommend for it?

I have seen other orthomosaics in which the colors look more vivid and the product looks very good, and I would like to generate products in that way, although I am not sure if my flow is correct ...

To generate the ortomosaic, use drone DJI PHANTOM 3 PRO, at a flight height of 60m.

Thank you in advance for your comments and to have a clear idea about the colors of the ortomosaic, thank you very much ...
