General / Re: Building Tiled Model

Okay, If I align the cameras in Agisoft for that mesh, Would I be able to generate Tiled Model using the imported mesh from other software?

General / Building Tiled Model

I have imported a fbx model generated from another software into Agisoft. I want to build a Tiled Model out of it but whenever I select the option it gives an error dialog box saying  "Can't Estimate Pixel Size". What is the meaning of this error? Is there any possible way to remove this error? Kindly Guide

Hi Alexey!

Okay got it, It would really be a very helpful feature if introduced in the next version.

One other thing is that for my aerial imagey project, I need the whole project to be geospatially acurate and I'm looking for recommendations (or tutorial maybe) from start to end that encloses all the steps and sub-options for 3D model reconstruction so that I may follow the same procedure to get accurate results.

General / Define Processing Area By Shapefile?
« on: December 31, 2018, 04:02:52 PM »
I'm processing aerial imagery in Agisoft and my area is divided into multiple grids. In the processing options, I want to set the processing area (bounding box) with respect to "shapefiles" that I have created based on the dimensions of my grid. I can not find any option through which I can add a shapefile into my project, Is there a way to give processing area by importing a shapefile?

Also, Is there a way to add satellite imagery or some map at the background of my dataset so that I can verify the geolocations of images and assign the boundig box accordingly?

General / Import Point Cloud In Agisoft
« on: December 31, 2018, 10:23:09 AM »
I need to process point cloud generated from some other software in Agisoft Photoscan. I currently have "LAS" format generated from a different software and it has created 9 files of "las" format of the same region. But in the import dialogue box, I am able to import a single file only, How can I import all files or is there a way to merge those files and consider them as singular?

Another abnormal thing is that when I import the LAS file, the track ball's navigation becomes strange. The up down viewing angle makes it to steer forward or backward.

General / Re: Bad Memory Allocation

Hello Jason,

Yes the RAM would be an issue for my low end PC. But is there a way to restrict the RAM usage and let it process even if more time is taken? (As this option is available in some other softwares)

For my high end PC, I'm using a DJI drone and it's internal GPS information from the images is being used for alignment but the images taken are from the same day and from the same drone. I don't have any GCP so can't use them in my project.

1000 Images were processed on my i5 system having 8 gigs of RAM and the resolution of images is 20MP. I tried processing it with High parameters enabled.

Yesterday, on another project I tried processing 4200 images (20MP) on my i9 system having 128 gigs of RAM and Titan's GPU. But at the very first step (camera alignment) with highest option selected, the result it produced was very weird. The sparse cloud had multiple layers perpendicular to one another as if a bomb is exploded inside it, but the scene captured is a flat ground.

I am trying to process around 1000 images of an area at high quality level but at the ending stages of the processing, Agisoft gives the error of bad memory allocation and crashes. Is there a way to restrict the RAM usage upto a certain limit and avoid this error?
If it takes more time that wouldn't be an issue but crashing at almost the end of the processing stage is disappointing.
