I will give a try with some additional photos in portrait format. All Images, Sony A7R, Sony 24-70/2.8 @50mm, focus manually.
Shoot directly in Capture One.
Thank you!

Thank you so much for your detailed reply. Please find attached a screenshot, cameras turned on.
I need to solve that problem, do you have any hints?

Best wishes

General / Exported obj not proportional

Hello,
i created a perfect model of a cello plate (Standard Version), let`s say, looks perfect. When i import the obj in Blender or Cinema and scale one dimension to it`s
original width, the length of the plate is not proportional. The original width of the plate is 45.5cm and the length is 75.2cm.
When i scale it to width 45.5cm the length is 73.3cm only. I sprayed the white/yellowish plate with mordant spots and the photos aligned perfectly in one chunk.
Is there something necessary i forgot. Should i place targets directly on the plate with known dimensions? Never did because i mostly do food photogrammetry
and never checked the exact dimensions (proportions). How can i make sure that my model is 1:1 to the original. Scale bars? If yes, how to.

Attached a screenshot of the created model.

Thank you all

General / Finished model, geometry question
« on: August 28, 2019, 07:18:22 PM »
Hello everybody,
i created many models so far without any problems. Mostly I do food shootings with a turntable and mask all photos.
With the new alignment parameter („Apply masks to Tie points“) with a single mask i have some problems
which are only visible in Cinema4D. Please take a look at the attachment eggplant.jpg which looks fine in Metashape.
I export all my models to make a quad mesh and new UV in zBrush, then reimport, make texture again and normally i have a clean quad mesh model.

With the new alignment parameter („Apply masks to Tie points“) with a single mask the models look good but always triangulated to quad mesh failed.
Please take a look at the attached image C4D.jpg which shows some geometry which is only visible in Cinema4D, not in zBrush.

However, is there a function in Metashape Standard to see that needless geometry?

Thank you!

Hello Alexey,
yes, can i use WeTransfer? Which files do you need, .psx - .files and all the images?

General / Alignment problems again
« on: July 03, 2019, 02:07:37 PM »
I made several shootings of "German Lebkuchen (gingerbread)", photographed the same way, 5 rows from top to bottom, 36 pictures each. Everything works fine and i could align all photos in one chunk as i normally do in Metashape Standard edition. All photos are masked! White lebkuchen works fine (see image) but the brown one makes problems. All photos within one chunk align but the bottom and top doesn`t fit together, see picture. I tried with chunks which align and merge but they all came out the same way.

General / Align and merge chunks
« on: June 10, 2019, 01:51:18 PM »
I am working with Agisoft Metashape - Standard Edition on MacOS X.Not always but often i have the problem that 2 chunks won`t merge correctly. Made a top and a bottom view of a kiwi, masked all photos, and they aligned perfectly, but after aligning and merging the chunks i get that result. Yesterday i installed Bootcamp and Reality Capture (Demo) on my MacBook for testing, even without masking, the top and bottom of the kiwi aligned perfectly. Every hint is welcome.

General / Cannot merge chunks
« on: February 25, 2019, 03:40:26 PM »
Hello,
i am new to Agisoft Metashape and also to this forum.
First of all i want to say "Hello" to everybody.
I am using the Standard Edition but before my purchase i need to know what i am doing wrong.
I took 4 views of a bread roll, 24 photos each, 2 views from the top and 2 views from the bottom.
Then i created 2 chunks one for the top view (48 images) and one for the bottom view (48 images).
Aligning, dense cloud and mesh works fine so far, aligning the chunks also.
When i try to merge the chunks, it doesn`t work, see attached screenshot please.
It is also not possible to align the 96 images in one chunk, is it necessary to use masks?
Thanks for your help.
