Hi. Sometimes I use 1000 of photos and when I see the sparse cloud I know that my model will look great and I do not need so many photos. I would probably do with 500 and it would decrese the time needed for processing.

So in that case instead of manually disabling every second photo, I would love to have a button that will open a window and let me select every second (third/forth/fifth.. etc.) photo for me, so I can disable them quickly. This would be very helpful for projects where I start with over 4000 photographs. https://scrabblewordfinder.vip/ https://www.applock.ooo/ https://www.7zip.vip/

Python and Java API / How to run script in a loop with arguments????
« on: March 20, 2019, 01:44:43 PM »
I have a nice script I want to run on a bunch of chunks in a project, but can't figure out how to call it properly from the console. I'd like to be able to use it on selected chunks in selected projects whenever I want, but it's fairly complex (for me) to do that outside of the console.

What I would like to do is run a script on a subset of my chunks by first activating a chunk, then running a python script with arguments that works on the active chunk, like this:

Code: [Select]
for i in range(3,18):
    doc.chunk = doc.chunks
    task.runscript('c:\my_cheesy_scripts\make_awesome.py', args)

I reviewed methods to do this online and they suggest  subprocess.call or execfile, but I can't figure out how to do either one within the PhotoScan console. So I'm left clicking "Run script" and activating each chunk, which is tedious.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi all

I know there is a camera calibration utility within the software which used to be in Lens.

I can see the checkerboard pattern and the calibration option, does anyone have a pdf document with a good method / workflow in how to calibrate a camera lens before running jobs through it ?

I am looking for a workflow I can use for all our UAV cameras - also do you tick every option box - as im unsure what the different parameters are such as p1 to p4, etc

I have access to metashape pro and was hoping if I could get some help with a few issues I've had since I've started. I'll try and upload photos to go along with this. I'm using a Google pixel 2 with focus and contrast lock to take my photos, and a custom built pc with an i5 and an AMD Radeon R9 390 series as my PC.

Firstly, I've watched many videos on using this software and have found that the meshes and dense clouds people are producing are much more complete while mine have been very broken up and contain lots of holes. I'm on my fourth try now and my results have improved each time but I still feel like I'm doing something fundamentally wrong.

Secondly, my GPU does not appear in my GPU selection preferences, I'll post a photo of what it looks like along with this. I'm assuming this has affected my end result in some way.

Thank you for your time to anyone that can help. I know I probably need better photography equipment but I'm trying to get the best results with what I have right now. I also want to note that I have experience in zbrush and blender, and while I'm just focusing on objects right now I'd like to move on to larger landscapes about an acre to 2 acres in size.

If you'd like access to any of my files please let me know and I'll see what I can do.
