General / masks are not recognized or appears white.
« on: October 07, 2019, 12:00:53 PM »
hello everybody

I have a little problem with masks (.png) realized with photoshop and which I apply on my photos.
Named correctly (_mask.png) but most appears white, 1 appears "no mask". This is very surprising because they are exactly the same types of files.
Any idea of a possible issue for this problem ?
Thanks

General / Re: avoid anamorphosis by adding markers?
« on: October 03, 2019, 11:46:17 PM »
hello Everybody

no idea ?
Maybe I didn't explain the problem correctly...

I need to reconstruct a scene from different view (movie screenshots), so I proceeded shot by shot in different chunks (left of the room, center of the room...).
Now I want to align these parts in a single object.

(I currently own a standard version and I’m testing a trial pro version. Before considering a pro version, I need to know if I could do this job, i.e align these different chunks manually with markers.)

I don't know how to proceed, I have positioned ten markers but they are not included in the resulting model, and my two chunks doesn't align.... (it produce an incoherent and flat object)

A little help would be appreciated!

General / avoid anamorphosis by adding markers?
« on: September 28, 2019, 02:31:25 PM »
Hello everybody

For a project, I want to use Metashape  to "scan" a movie scene,  which includes tracking shots, static shots and countershots. Unfortunately, Metashape only aligns lateral motions, (not dolly and statics) even if images have objects in common. So I get an anamorphosis.
The space is deformed in a direction, and the other images do not align.

My idea was adding markers for these regions but they don’t align. White markers appears, I clic them (they become green), I make realignement but my markers are not included in the model and theses images do not align.

did I miss a step ?
Yet it seems easy but it doesn’t work…

 Thanks for some advices …

Is there a solution to this problem? It seems that others users have encountered the same issue but has the cause been found? No response in others similar posts.

Is it something specific to mac osx?
I lost 3 days of work, a long rendering and I can no longer open  my images...

thanks.

thanks Alexsey for your quick response.

> when check path, it appears "missing images" / « some images are either missing or were resized". The path is correct but status is "missing".

when I « change path » the images appears  greyed out in the source folder.
I didn’t change size or location.
The source images are in a différent folder than the folder created by metashape (.files and .psx file) and I use tif files.

on metashape standard  1.5.3 (OS X)
- open software
- add photos
- align photos
- build dense cloud / mesh and textures
- save project
Close it.

- I reopen the project file "xxx.psx" few days later
- I try to open image clicking on a thumbnail
- error message "Error: Can't open file: No such file or directory (2): /Users/julienaudebert/TRAVAUX EN COURS/Metashape dossier films/Festins (photogrammétrie) TEST/Sound of music screens /vlcsnap-2019-09-15-12h28m02s080.tiff"
and image appears as a pixelated preview

thanks

I just bought a Metashape license for mac and I have an error message :
when I reopen a project after save and close, I no longer have access to my images file.
It 's very problematic.. Is it a bug ? how to reassign the file path in Metashape to recover the images ?

Tanks for your advices!
