The request mainly applies to altitude. You can set a constant value to a column/set, but it would be nice to be able to add/subtract a constant number to all the values in a column.
We have a lot of altitude options, and they are all used by different public entities.
To adapt to a certain datum it would be enough to be able to vertically shift the image coordinates derived from a ppk flight.
Thanks in advance,
Massimo

Short update:
I found the issue:
I had the normals flipped..

General / Texturing an imported model - subset of the whole
« on: November 25, 2022, 02:54:40 PM »
I have a survey of a small chapel, thar registered fine.
Of the same I created a simplified 3D mesh of a subset of the structure, in the same system coordinates.
I imported it in Metashape and I would like to be able to texturize it but I get messed up textures.
How should I proceed to texturize it?

I attach a couple of screenshots of the full photogrammetry model, and of the simplified model

Thanks in advance,
Massimo

I have an aerial project where I extracted correct photo position using ppk.
It never failed, but this time a portion of the coordinates are wrong (about 80 of 430).
Disabling position or increasing accuracy fixes the issue (once detected).
But until now I had big issues because using the tight accuracy proposed by the ppk the whole matching went wrong, and the camera parameters were adapted to an impossible profile.
I assumed I would get big errors on the offending pictures, and a slightly wrong result, but in fact I got a terribly wrong result and an uniform error split around all the pictures.
It looks like the position accuracy is taken too seriously? In the corrected position accuracy is about 5-10mm.
Is there a way to help the calculation and detect a similar situation? Maybe relaxing a bit the accuracy?

Thanks in advance,
Massimo

Camera Calibration / Frame or fisheye?
« on: July 05, 2020, 05:43:30 PM »
I have a Sony alpha with the SELF1628 lens (16 mm, equivalent to 24mm on a 35mm camera).
Sometimes I add the VCL-ECU2 to it. It's stated as an ultra wide lens (12mm, equivalent to 18mm on a 35mm camera).
Should I still use the frame model? How can I decide which model use?
I saw that the fisheye limit is somewhere considered 16mm equivalent, so if this is the case I'm in in the frame region.
Also manufacturer says ultra wide and not fisheye, but I'm wondering if this is the right way to decide which model use or if there are other guidelines.
Thanks in advance,
Massimo
