Is there no workaround other than trying to use the photo data for reconstruction? I am still failing to align the images correctly, even with a lot of tie points.. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Sorry for missing that! Just tried it but it lead to a new "Tie points" property, but with 0 tie points. Now the error is "Null point cloud points". The matching time for my 215 spherical panoramas is a reasonable 20ish minutes, but when I view the matches there are no key points / matches visible for the images at all. Am I still missing something? Thanks.

The images are not good enough to align the photos, it just gets aligned very incorrectly. Would there be another workaround? Thanks

I didn't get to the point where that window opens up. Clicking build tiled model directly leads to the error message.

Hi, I'm currently working with a LIDAR dataset, which I've meshed and textured in Metashape using the quick_layout.py script (metioned here: https://github.com/agisoft-llc/metashape-scripts/blob/master/src/quick_layout.py directly using ground station locations instead of using images for alignment). Problem is when I try to created a tiled model, it gives me a "null point cloud" error window and nothing else. I'm sure my region is set correctly and covers my whole model and dense cloud. I speculate perhaps the function expected a sparse cloud there? Would there be any solutions? Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi, I have a huge E57 file exported from Cyclone I'm trying to use to reconstruct a textured mesh, but I'm running into issues. It imports without errors, but only the estimated positions of the stations show up (the guy who gave it to me said they were already registered), and they are marked as unaligned, and no point cloud is visible. However, the depth maps are there. Is this expected behaviour?

It would be great to know if its possible to directly use the registered station positions to reconstruct the mesh or a dense cloud, without having to align them using the photo data, since some of the photos have already have the original markers masked out. I tried aligning them as is but the results are all over the place and it would be a lot of repeated effort to find the markers and align the whole dataset again. Would appreciate any help! Thanks.

General / Realign two existing aligned chunks together?

I have two large aligned chunks that were aligned (photos) seperately. Is there a way to merge them into a chunk AND optimize the camera positions as if they were initially aligned as a single chunk? Thanks.

Feature Requests / Linux Metashape unable to move pop up dialog boxes

This issue happens with progress dialog boxes as well as file browsers. Suprisingly, resizing these windows work, however it always centers the dialog boxes in the center of the main window. Is this expected behavior? Thanks.

Feature Requests / Hierachical chunk groups

It would be great to have the ability to group chunks together, which would be particularly useful in large reconstruction projects where smaller chunks are initially aligned, then merged together. Better yet, it would be great to also have the ability to align these super-chunks together.

General / Optimize merged chunk?

In metashape, after aligning and merging two chunks, the matches between the two chunks do not seem to be kept as tie points in the new merged chunk. Is there any way to keep the matches as tie points? I assume that it would allow all the cameras to be optimized further after merging, making a better dense cloud.

General / Disabled cameras used for chunk alignment?

During chunk alignment, it seems that the disabled cameras are also utilised, or at least it seems to be slower compared to when I deleted the disabled cameras completely. Is this expected behaviour?
