General / Why am I getting dark blurred spots?
« on: July 28, 2021, 03:49:52 PM »
Hello!

I created this orthomosaic and as you can see there are a lot of dark blurred spots. These were taken using 2 nikon d7500s set at 24mm and swimming about 1 meter off of the floor. Each camera took about 1400 photos.

When looking at the photos there are a good amount of very dark low light photos so I am assuming that I was just two zoomed in for the height I was at and not enough light went in but wanted to get your thoughts and opinions in case there is a setting that I am simply not checking (or should leave unchecked) when creating the orthomosaic.

Thanks for any help!

Edit: Added Screenshots in case you do not want to download the whole file

Hi! Sorry for the late reply but thanks for the immense help. Sad that I keep getting such high reprojection errors. We are switching to DSLRs soon so Im hoping that may help. What exactly would a high reprojection error mean in regards to the model? II've had trouble understanding the meaning.

General / Acceptable reprojection error?

I created a model using agisoft. The JPEG of the model is of acceptable quality and actually looks pretty good. I have had a hard time understanding what reprojection error is and therefore I'm unsure if the model is actually acceptable to use. I attached the report of two models. They both have reprojection errors one of 2 and one of 8. Are these acceptable? Is the model reliable?

I appreciate any help and also any links or files where I can read up on how to read the report and understand it to its fullest.

Thanks!
