Bug Reports / Metashape 2.0 trial activation on Azure Virtual Machine
« on: February 15, 2023, 01:45:05 PM »
Hi,

I tried to activate the trial license for Metashape 2.0 on Azure's Virtual Machine, however unfortunately I received an error message that the license is already activated (see attached image).

We set up a new Virtual Machine on Azure for Metashape 2.0 performance testing. Also, I received the new trial key from Agisoft's sales team but still received the same error message. Is there any reason the license would not be working on Azure's VM?

Hi Alexey,

Any updates regarding the floating license transfer from Metashape 1.8.x to 2.0.x?

After exporting orthomosaic, DEMs and other objects from Metashape in NTF (Paris) / Lambert Sud France (EPSG:27563), the data is shifted about 550 km to the north. After a brief investigation, the CRS definition seems to have an error in the latitude of origin value. The correct value is 44.1 degrees, while the value set by Metashape is 49.

The thing is that this CRS is usually defined in grads, therefore 49 grads is the correct value for the latitude of origin, but it appears that outside of Metashape different software (e.g. QGIS, ArcGIS) interpretes these 49 grads as degrees, resulting in a shift of 550 km to the north.

Editing the definition or setting the projection in GIS software or through gdal_edit to correct value removes this offset.

Python and Java API / Re: Masks creation from imported polygons
« on: January 25, 2022, 06:54:14 PM »
Since I had some time I checked different repositories and topics on this forum. I found some scripts and plugins written by GeoScan. This plugin can do exactly what I asked for in this topic so I'm leaving a link to their github repo in case anyone in the future will have same problem.

Unfortunately there are some tracebacks after starting the plugin but I'll try to do something with this on my own.

Python and Java API / Masks creation from imported polygons
« on: January 20, 2022, 01:04:20 PM »
Hi,

I am working on a project with huge datasets and I need to process dense cloud on highest possible settings. Since processing time is crucial I can't afford to process dense cloud for whole area. Because of that I thought that maybe there is a way to improve processing time with use of Metashape Python API by automatically creating masks for each and every image based on imported polygons.

In attached screenshot (fragment of single image), you can see an example of my dataset where the polygons marks the areas I only want to generate dense cloud.

I would really appreciate any suggestions and ideas.
