Update from Metashape 1.x to Metashape 2.0 is completely free and does not require any additional payments from the licensed users.

Project files created with 2.0.0 version can't be opened with Metashape 1.8 and earlier versions.

Metashape Professional 2.0 comes with a new license activation system. You will need to enter your Metashape activation key after you update Metashape 1.x to Metashape 2.0, or use a trial activation option.

General / Spare license file for Metashape Professional

Starting from March 7, 2022 online activation system integrated into Metashape Professional software is temporary not working due to the unexpected blocking of activation servers. As a consequence, all activation/deactivation operations currently need to be performed using offline activation/deactivation procedure.

To ensure continuous availability of Metashape software for all our users we provide a license file that unlocks full Metashape Professional functionality without need to contact our support team. The license file allows to run Metashape Professional software on any computer till Aug 31, 2022.

Metashape inherits all the professional photogrammetric kit features from PhotoScan and offers some more to enrich your experience into the space of intelligent photogrammetry.

The release is planned for the end of 2018. Product update will be free and smooth as usual PhotoScan version updates.

This pre-release is considered as unstable and is not recommended for production use.

To try cloud processing support (requires Professional edition license) please register at account.agisoft.com.

A new Python script to perform style transfer for 3D models was developed for PhotoScan Pro 1.4 on Windows and Linux platforms.

General / New alignment parameter for background suppression

New alignment parameter was added in PhotoScan 1.4.1 release. It makes possible to suppress background from alignment procedure with few or even with a single mask. This can be helpful in turntable-like shooting scenario.

New reconstruction method with strict volumetric masking support was released in PhotoScan 1.4.0 pre-release.
