General / Not enough memory - I'm looking for an explanation

Hi everyone, I'm new to Photoscan, basically just trying it out for the first time and I keep getting this 'Not enough memory' error at the end of building geometry.
My computer has 8gb RAM and I understand that that may not be enough, but I'm working with a set of 30 5Mpx images and according to Agisoft Wiki that should be about enough for medium quality. I can only build geometry on lowest quality (or sometimes low) and that doesn't give me satisfactory results.
I've read quite a bit about this problem on this forum and I can accept that I don't have enough memory if that's the case. What bothers me is that, when I tried running Resource Monitor on my computer during geometry build, it didn't show a peak in memory use when it failed. Quite the opposite, memory use remained relatively constant during processing and there was almost 6gb of memory available at the time it failed.
Can anybody explain this to me?
Thanks a lot
