General / Problems updating software

Hello, after a long time without updates I decided to install the new version, I have a proper original license but the software seem to not be able to use it. Previously I just needed to install the update without inserting activation code. now here is the problem, I cant find my activation code.... any suggestion who I have to ask to have it back? I only have my receit from the reseller....

Feature Requests / Orthophoto from aligned cameras

Hello,
we are considering an interesting option to add to your orthophotos features, we’d like to know if it would be possible to obtain an orthomosaic (orthophoto from rectified photos) after only the align photos and optimize the alignment. So it would be possible to make orthophotos without dense cloud and mesh generation.

P.S. It also would be useful, especially in large dset, to know how many photos are disabled on a chunk, not only the aligned.

I read the numerous topics about using GoPro, I wonder I anybody ever used this to avoid fish eye effect

General / Ultra high resolution problems

Hello everybody , I've got a problem.... on the tips and triks page I've found a table that says that with 32 gb of ram (wich I have) I can process at least 20 images....but my pc stops processing after 8 - 10 (the proces seems to stop on generating mesh 14%), any suggestion? I've got an i7 3930k, pny quadro 4000, 32 gb ram..... should I get more ram?

General / yaw, pitch, roll using a tripod.

Hi everybody,

since photoscan uses it, here in the lab, we were trying to figure out how to record yaw, pitch and roll in close range photogrammetry using a tripod. Does any of you ever tried to do something like that?

Since we are on very early stage of this any suggestion would be precious. We are thinking to use a 3axis gps, an accelerometer and a data logger, but it's just something we discussed yesterday having a beer....

something strange it's happening while I'm trying to merge chunks, it seems that merging decreses significatively the quality of the mesh. Am I doing something wrong?

General / Can't open file HELP!

Hi everybody, after a lot of work, I tried to open the project and Photoscan shows me this message "cant open file", I tried to remake the work but it crushed... I've a close deadline, please, can anybody help me?

Camera Calibration / converting topcon image master photo .cmr

in my departmnent in Torvergata we have several (more then 50) cameras calibrated with image master photo topcon, the calibration software its called camera calib, the exit file is a .cmr

General / VC problems, my nvidia pny quadro 4000 crashes! Can anybody help?

Hi everybody,

I'm a phd student, i just got Photoscan pro, my dissertation it's about photogrammetry and laser scanning for cultural heritage.... I'm experiencing some trouble: my graphic card (pny quadro 4000) crashes, probably I need to do somee setting.... can anybody help me?
