General / Importing a reconstructed mesh in Agisoft for texturing
« on: June 08, 2013, 09:36:45 PM »
Hello , here i am again.

My workflow begin to be interesting since i'm trying to mastering all the tricks from scan to clean model.
Actually I scanned a model with agisoft, then retopo this one on 3Dcoat.

Now I would like to do something very simple, Re import my cleaned mesh in agisoft, replace it at the approximate same position and scale in space of the original scanned, and then generate a new texture on the new mesh !

But I can't place manually my mesh... or i don't know how to do ?

General / build texture, select different camera?
« on: May 09, 2013, 04:37:26 PM »
Hello,
I saw different method  for generating texture, and the single camera is quite interesting as it really select the face you want, but is it possible to select more than only one camera ?
mixing 6 camera or 8 to select really the photo that interest you ?

Hello there,
I'm still trying ( since 1 month ) to understand what agisoft need for a perfect reconstruction... so i made some tests again.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/p6rebs7deaki3d3/pointdeau_test.png

Here is a test in the street, during a cloudy day .
it works quite well, the details, the hole inside the model is good to me, I wasn't expecting that good, so i try to understand what is working and not.

As you can see the top is a mess and have been bubbled hardly.
Maybe because of the sky and reflectivity  ? Or only reflectivity ?
maybe some of you know ?

well i tried another one, here are screens :

https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ty8jw80hdgzcjt/photos_goodquality.jpg
https://www.dropbox.com/s/p7hskoz9u3nqn61/geomtery_build.jpg

So this time, this monument have really less specular and less reflection, photos are sharp enough i thought ..
but the result is very bad...

So is it because i have no landmark behind the model ( only white ) ?
even after masking i still have bubble destroying my model...

I don't give up, I still try to understand and ask for your help.. :)

Hello guys,
I'm new here and new user of agisoft.
I really appreciate this soft, and the community. I've read almost all the post to learn.
Since one week i'm trying to understand how to optimize thing with it, testing all, reading this forum, and finally i decided to post my problem.

I'm trying to scan this assassin screed's sculpture :

as you can see, absolutly all my photo ( high resolution 3456x5184 ) are perfectly masked ( by keying first on aftereffect, then importing mask from alpha )
my very simple testing rig to key easily :

Here is the result of alignement after 2 or 3 tried and refinement ( realign with the markers for more precisions ) ,
https://www.dropbox.com/s/9ik0ofxzvwga6tc/perfect_align.png
it look well i don't think problem come from here ?

here are the settings :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xvrh0vt5m26m4k7/setting.jpg

And finally my problem , the built result :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/5wnjmry927oti8k/result.png

a lot details are missing ( knife etc ), or badly interpreted. and the most important thing is that reconstruction is filling the space beetween the legs.. despite the well done mask at the begining.

I really don't understand where i'm wrong, can someone help me please ?

cheers.
