General / Oblique Images
« on: March 01, 2019, 06:23:58 PM »
Good morning, would it be possible to obtain quality orthophotos using oblique images?

If I make a flight at 120 meters, with an overlap of 50 or 60% it will cover a certain width.

If I use 2 cameras with an angle of 30 ° between them, it would be possible to double the arc to be raised, sacrificing the resolution.

I'm in the middle, something is failing in the theory.

Attach an image.

Thanks

General / Quality point cloud reconstruction?
« on: November 30, 2015, 03:43:15 PM »
Hello. On one occasion I read in this forum that photogrammetric surveying, it was not recommended to generate the point cloud to highest quality, but do not remember the argument.

Is this true ', why?

General / Error rebuilding walls and ceilings
« on: November 11, 2015, 10:39:54 PM »
Hi, I have taken photos to 150 m high, with an equivalent resolution of 3.8 cm per pixel.

The point cloud is processed the high resolution (in ultra high the problem remains the same, but to a lesser extent).

The mesh is built in maximum density and optenido have this problem in the walls and roofs of houses.

On roads, trees and other elements we have not had any problems.

Anyone have any idea how to fix it.?

The image is attached

General / network processing speed
« on: June 08, 2015, 05:29:12 PM »
Suppose we have a i7 last generation, and processes a batch job at a time X.

If we put two i7 computer network, the processing time will be reduced by half ?.

And with 3 computers, will be 3 times faster?

It is unlikely to be so, anyone know what the real relationship?

General / quality dense point cloud

Hello.

To generate orthophotos and DTM, which recommend quality to create the dense cloud of points ?.

I have always used the highest quality, but in a previous question one of the software developers told me that was exes.

General / errors in the photos. Why?
« on: April 21, 2015, 02:28:08 AM »
Hi, I made a flight with 60% of lateral overlap and 80% along the flight line.

The GSD is 3.8 cm, the report can observe that the image points can be observed in more than 9 pictures.

Doubt is because such errors, like the attached picture is obtained.

It is possible to improve this result?

Thank

General / decimating point cloud
« on: April 17, 2015, 11:57:27 PM »
Hello, I created a model from 500 images taken from a UAV.

I created a dense cloud of points in Superexcellent quality containing 1,100,000,000 points.

These points are too many for me, but if quality process in a inferiror I will obtain errors that are not admissible.

You may decimate the point cloud before being exported ?.

General / Big Data Project

Hello, I have on the horizon a relatively big job.

A 5500 images and have available 2 computers for you project.

What would be the most efficient way?

I understand that I can do batch processing on a PC, but you can process files on separate machines and finally unite into one big file.

General / Change in coordinate system
« on: December 01, 2014, 06:42:18 PM »
hello

I could georeference each of my photos using the onboard GPS.

The problem is that the onboard GPS recorded in geographical coordinates, and ground control points have them recorded in UTM.

By changing the coordinate system, after making alignment and insert the ground control points, do not fall into the position they should.

Then I select them manually, picture by picture without knowing if they are close or not.

You can align the photos on geographical coordinates, and then transform the model to UTM coordinates to locate much easier checkpoints?

3930k vs 3820

Hi

Mi last pc was: i7:3820 @4300 and GTX670 or Gibabyte Hd 7970

Now i can update to i7 3930K @4000 and gtx 680.

I have a proyect to 240 image, and with my old pc take 48 Hours, and the new pc 53 Hours

The rest of components no change

Any idea?

I have a uav of fixed wing, whit a sony nex 7 camera.

whit the gimbal sistem, can give better performance?

Agisoft its better in 100% ortho image, o can manage correctly oblique image?

i work whit the superposition recomended for agisoft

General / That program used to manage point clouds
« on: October 29, 2013, 11:47:59 PM »
good morning

I have a UAV for aerial photography, I could create very good orthophotos and digital terrain models.

Now I have not clear how to manage information for civilian purposes.

For example, to create the contour without trees surface distortions.

Or you can draw the roads and houses.

That program managed?

thanks

General / Side overlap?
« on: October 19, 2013, 04:10:30 AM »
good morning.

Using a uav I measure a long narrow line.

If I use an overlay over 80%, would need to fly back to have an overlap of side?

I use ground control points

General / Its necesary the GPU?
« on: April 15, 2013, 04:11:09 PM »
You need the GPU?, Makes a difference in terms of time?

My budget is limited, so if I save the GPU, I can buy a motherboard that supports 64 mb, and a better processor.

I plan to process images from a UAV.
