Face and Body Scanning / How to overcome flash sync limit of 1/200th

Hi all,

I am trying to capture jumping people using nikon d3200 cams. Like all cams the shutterspeed limit is around 1/200th How can you overcome this? Anyone solved this already using these cams?

Bug Reports / Batch cancel bug

This happened to me twice now: I've started a batch operation (mesh generation) but remembered I wanted to change something so I immediately try to cancel the batch operation before it could get started properly.

The dialog remains in view and the loading bar and time continues but nothing is actually done so far I can tell. I can click on pause but it does not do anything. I can click cancel and it gives me a warning like it normally does but regardless of what I click nothing happens and the dialog box remains open.

I let this sit for a while but it seems to be in a loop. I finally have to force quit photoscan (standard)

The nasty part is that my file is now corrupt. 

Nothing what can be solved by saving often but just something I still wanted to share. Perhaps somebody else can replicate this hang.

I stumbled on this great application: http://digicamcontrol.com/supported_cameras

It enables remote control from your pc for many more consumer grade dslr not supported by the brands SDK.

Yesterday I easily managed to connect 6 Nikon D3200 simultaneously and control their settings and trigger them. You can even set an trigger interval and number of shots to take. Applications also allows to save the photo's directly to the pc.

Gem of an app!

oh and it is free! But I did immediately made a donation when I found out it worked. Well worth it!

General / Fluffiness on the edges

Hi,

I've recently started experimenting with photoscan and it continues to amaze me how well this works!

But I have a question! I often encounter these kinds of fluffy edges:

What most often causes these errors? I am using the 0.9.1 1654 Beta

I've tried using the gradual selection on te pointcloud to remove some suspect points but it does not seems to make a difference. Also After model creation these fluffies cannot be removed by using gradual selection.
