Texture De-Lighter / Strange bright colors

Hi! Is there a way to avoid getting these super bright colors that I get at every UV seam?

Texture De-Lighter / Texture resolution

Hi there! My model have an 8k texture input but processed result gets to 2k. Can seem to find anywhere where I can change so I get 8k output of delit texture.

General / Network process size problem
« on: January 22, 2016, 01:52:28 PM »
Hi, I have some issues running scans on our render farm and get really large files compared to what I guess I should have.

My original scan in psx format is 10gigs. In order to process the dense cloud on our farms I need to split up my dense clouds in smaller chunks. So I split the 10 gig chunk into two chunks and remove all points I dont need for those chunks (half points are removed in each chunk)

I delete my original chunk (full 10 gig chunk) and have two chunks (should be 5 gig each kind of)

I save my psx and notice now I have a 20gig file, it looks like the points I have deleted are not deleted? Is this expected, I assume my file should still be 10 gig even though it has 2 chunks with removed data?

General / Hasselblad?
« on: July 06, 2015, 11:57:02 AM »
Have anyone tried photoscanning with Hasselblad higher range cameras? If so, are they automatically supported with photoscan, thinking about setting for lens used etc or do you need to do a an automatic calibration for those things?

General / can I change the scene scale in agisoft standard??
« on: April 21, 2015, 09:35:34 PM »
I have big problems with the scale being so small in agisoft so when send to other software like mudbox or mari for painting it makes the file hard to work with.

Is it possible to scale the agisoft scene in standard editon including the cameras or is there a a work around to solve the issue?

Tried scaling the whole scene in 3dsmax but that messed up my cameras for projection in mudbox.

I have generated a dense point cloud data in Agisoft and wanted to get the point cloud into 3DsMax 2015. 3DsMax only reads rcp files which Agisoft dont export to. So my work around to solve this is to export the dense cloud from agisoft in las or txt files and import them into Autodesk Recap.

From Recap I save my file to rcp format and import the cloud in 3DsMax, all good so far..but after working with the file in 3dsMax and import the mesh in agisoft I notice that some where on the way the scale and rotations are completely off and doesn't match up any more!

I havent figured out if it's Agisoft doing something with scale and rotation when exporting the dense cloud to las and txt files or, more likely, recap that mess things up when importing the cloud.

Is there anyone here that can help me solve this issue or if you know any other way or software to get my files in to 3DsMax rcp format??

General / How do you know you got a good sparse point cloud??
« on: March 31, 2015, 07:05:15 PM »
I have problem understanding how to read, what to read, how to know that you got a good and optimized sparse point cloud.
If I right click a chunk and get show info, I get Effective Overlap: 3.67156 and Reprojection error: 0.221619 (1.04192 max)

What does this tell me, how do I know when I got a good value? Is this the info that tells me this or should I look somewhere else?

Next question: When I use Gradual Selection, Reprojection error how does this correspond together with the values in my show info window? Do they even?

Lets say I the reprojection error level to 0.5 and delete those points am I supposed to use the Optimize Camera function Alignment after deleted? Should all pre selected tick boxes be checked?

Please help me understand this once and for all :)

General / License stoped working

Downloaded the latest version of PS but now my license/activation isn't working? Never had this problem before when upgrading.

General / Textures from point cloud
« on: October 16, 2014, 07:26:21 PM »
Is it possible or does anyone know a way of using the point cloud data for generating textures and so on. With the dense point cloud exported, would it be possible to use that for baking, albedo/diffuse, normal maps and so on to a low poly mesh?

I know 3dsmax 2015 can import point cloud data but it looks like its in a format that I cant get out from Agisoft.

I have some flat (very dense)  ground surfaces generated with Agisoft but it takes like 20 hours to generate a mesh and 8 hours to decimate it and still it doesnt look as detailed and nice as the dense cloud does, so I would like to skip the mesh generation step, if possible, since my main purpose is just to extract textures from the scan in the end.

General / Best buy camera and lens?
« on: August 12, 2014, 01:44:06 PM »
This question has probably been up here way to many times. Did some search but didnt find exactly what I was looking for. Also I dont have best knowledge of cameras and lenses so I need some help:)

At my company we are using Canon 5D Mark III cameras with these lenses:

Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens
Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM Lens
Canon EF 50mm

Now we are planing to buy a camera for an outsourced guy and the company don't have the money or wanna spend to much money on camera and lens.

We are looking into buying a Canon D70 together with a cheaper zoom lens.

Any one here using this camera for photoscanning?

How important is the lens quality for using it for photoscanning, really? is it worth spending lots of money on what it really gives you?

Other ideas of setup? most for the money?

General / Pair Preselection
« on: May 30, 2014, 08:37:08 PM »
I've searched the forum on pair preselections in align photos and I found answer to what the differences are between using generic vs disabled. But what I couldnt find any information about is, are there any difference between the two in quality of pointcloud and eventually in the mesh?

Feature Requests / UV mapping options

It would be nice to do simple UV's, like planar, box, cylindrical, spherical UV's within Agisoft.

Feature Requests / Depth and normal maps
« on: May 28, 2014, 11:24:52 PM »
If Agisoft already generates some sort of normal and depth maps it would be nice to be able to save them out in the same way as you do with generate texture option.

Feature Requests / 16Bit
« on: May 28, 2014, 11:21:23 PM »
I want my 16 bit images to keep it's bit rate all the way when saving out tiff files, no conversion to 8 bit along the way.

Feature Requests / Reset Settings
« on: May 28, 2014, 11:19:57 PM »
I would like to have a reset setting option (button), to reset all settings back to standard as it was when installing Agisoft.
