General / Some tips for building new machine.
« on: December 13, 2013, 07:16:09 PM »
Hello, i am considering a machine for professional use with PhotoScan. I am doing aerial imaging, 3D-modeling of terrain and orthophoto with UAV.

Here is the machine i am considering to configure. Thing is i am new at this, and i would like to hear or read expert opinions, tips... :

GPU:  GeForce GTX770 Gigabyte OC 4GB/DDR5

MB:    LGA1150 Z87 ASUS Z87-PRO

CPU:   Intel CPU LGA1150 Intel® Core™ i7-4770, 3.40GHz BOX 22nm

RAM:   DIMM DDR3 8GB 1600MHz Kingston CL10, KHX1600C10D3B1/8G

+ everything else of course :)

I know this would be weaker then specified on website, but how much weaker? Will it still do any good?

This machine is already over my budget, but i think i will manage and stay alive when i buy this.

What would you change, add, take out...? Even if prices go higher up to 2000e. This one with everything else is 1500-1600e.

Any help, tips, suggestions are highly appreciated.
