Bug Reports / problem with paths
« on: October 08, 2015, 12:16:57 PM »
Hello,
I encountered a problem with image path, if for some reasons some images of a project have wrong path, affecting the correct path to all the images doesn't not work. The wrong path remains even if you have affected the correct path to all the camera and you have to affect individually the path ... this work but can be totally boring when you have hundred of photos.
I think it is a problem with photoscan, but if you have a temporary solution I am interested.
Thanks.

General / Clipped depth maps ....
« on: March 11, 2015, 09:38:13 PM »
Hello,
I have a problem with the exported depth and normal maps, they are totally black (depth maps) or grey (normal map) or clipped (only a part of the map is present), this appears in relatively simple areas. In the joined files it is a wall in a room that is partially clipped (there is a flat wall in front of the camera in the clipped area).
May be an idea ? The dense cloud is reconstructed but I have some artefacts, may be there is e link with these clipped maps....
Thanks.

Bug Reports / ply export problem
« on: November 27, 2014, 02:42:47 PM »
Hello,
first tanks for the new 1.1 release.
I encountered a problem exporting a point cloud in ply format after georeferencing, I get an error opening the file.
After exporting in ascii, I found that the vertex number is not correct (one vertex is missing).
May be you could correct this in the next release.
Thank you.
Regards.

Feature Requests / ground control
« on: June 26, 2014, 10:49:23 AM »
Hello,
first, thank you for your great software, we work on archaeology and we use very often dense photogrammetry in our work. We have the professional version of photoscan in order to be able to use the ground control features of the software.  But we have a little problem, very often archaeologists do not have a tacheometer to take X Y Z measurements, they use only levels and decameters so they measure only distances and altitudes (Z) of several points on the excavation. This is sufficient to scale and 'Z adjust' our 3D models in order to produce usable ortho images for precise drawing of the excavation. In photoscan, if I understand, we need al the coordinates for the markers points (XY and Z ) to scale and orient the 3D model so in a majority of our studies we cannot use this feature. May be you could help us on this point ?  We use a third software to scale and correctly adjust the model in Z but it can be very boring when the tools are not appropriate. Giving more flexibility (adding markers with data in Z only, and distances between markers) to the gound control module of photoscan (conserving the ability to combine with x y z data) could be a good thing as we do not need perfectly georeferenced model all the time.
Thank you.
