General / How to make a Panorama?

Hi All, I am tring to make a Panorama but nothing appears once it has run the Alignment and I sent the pictures to a new group and made the group stationary before alligning the photos.

What am i dong wrong?

General / JPG vs DNG... same amount of dense cloud points

I know DNG images are much larger in size and I have read here that DNG are best to use.

But when comparing the model made from JPG images to the model made from DNG images (same amount of images), both are just under 8 million points when viewing in the dense cloud...

Thus contradicting what I have read that DNG images are better to use...

when viewing in alligned the JPG shows 61 thousand points while the DNG shows 66 thousand points..

but the JPG model has mode dense cloud points then the DNG model.. JPG 7 million 9hundred thousand and the DNG showing 7 million 7 hundred thousand

General / Agisoft is saying pictures are 650m high, how to fix this?

Hi everyone, when I add the 300 images from my UAV and then complete the allign process the xyz coordinates look horribly wrong when viewing the source.

the X is -118... the y is 55 and the altitude is 600 when the drone was only 40 meters high.

How do I fix this?

General / Thinking of upgrading RAM - Having difficulty creating model of 800+ images

Hi all, I have a fairly beafy system with the GTX 980 graphics card, and 32 GB DDR RAM.

To build a high quality dense cloud, it is taking 15+ hours to process 868 images of a gas plant. (12 MP). Id like to decrease this time so I'm going to purchase new Ram hoping this is the best solution.

I have run into problems before processing other models with the error message "Not Enough Memory"

Id like to start taking upwards of 1000-1500 images for large sites.

Here is my work flow.

Align photos.

High
Pair preseletion: Disabled - I have chosen Generic for faster processing will this decrease the quality significantly?
Key point limit: 40000
Tie point limit: 1000

Build Dense Cloud

Quality High
Depth Filtering: Mild ( as I want to be able to see a flare stack and cell tower.. if that makes sense?) Or should I have it as agressive.


Build Mesh

Arbitrary
Dense
High

Interpolation: Enabled.

Build Text

Generic
Mosaic
4096 X1

If theres anything I should do differently, Id appreciate it. I am waiting on my results as the high quality version is still processing... I ran the mode at a medium dense cloud setting and already have seen many imperfetions.

General / Parameterizing texture atlas.. Stuck at 70%

I read a little about this on another thread, I have tried to run Texture at 4096 x 1 - Generic - Mosaic

I was able to get the mesh created at a low poly count.

But the texture just pauses at 70% for hours till it sais "Not enough memory"

I have 32 GB of RAM, i am assuming because I am trying to create a model of 585 photos I need more Ram....

Is there anything else I could do?

General / 3D Model stuck at building Mesh... What should I do?

Hi everybody,

Currently creating a model from 16 MP images (584 images to be exact)

Took roughly 25 hours to build the dense cloud.

I have never had it take so long to build the mesh, after reaching 80% it no longer shows an estimated time and after 20+ hours it is still at 94% and I ideally need this model done by tomorrow!

What should I do? take a look at the images below

General / Trouble creating a model of a bridge

Here are some pictures guys, I took 192 photos, I flew one grid pattern consisting of three lines with 80% overlap.

Then I manually took pictures from both sides of the bridge but I am receiving horrible results.

Is the low lighting a major problem as to why it wasn't created well? As I was pushing it before evening. And I used a DJI Inspire.

What could be the reasons for this? I am still fairly new to Agisoft, here below are some photos to show what Im dealing with. The Dense cloud looks alright but when I create the mesh, and add text it looks horrible.

General / Pix4d Vs Agisoft - Model Recreation. Trees Missing in Agisoft.

When creating a model using the same images Ive taken of a house and yard, the results are quite different. Pix4 shows 95% of the trees in the area while Agisoft only shows $30 and Agisoft seemed to created the house a bit better then Pix4D. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this because I did not use the right settings on Agisoft?

General / 2400 meter camera error after adding GCPs before/after Optimization

Hello everyone, fairly new to Agisoft, after inserting GCP's and this is before and after optimizing the model I am stuck with a 2400 meter camera error. Here is a screen shot..



What am I doing wrong? Before adding the GCP Points the max camera error is 1 meter

The surveyor was using RTK equipment, and unfortanetely he has never heard of an EPSG code... sad I know. The EPSG code I currently using is

General / Finding XYZ Coordinates inside model - Help Please

How do I find XYZ coordinates within a model ive created with Agisoft?

I have placed markers and I am still learning on how to properly optimize the model utilizing 7 GCPS without the model completing destroying itself, and a few markers showing 30m error, and the other 5 markers showing 1-4m error.

When I place a marker down I cannot find the estimated xyz coordinates like I read someone on the forums saying.
