General / rotate cloud with a referance plane

Hi,
I am writing because I must perform a quite complex operation (for me) and I hope someone can help me.

I had a non-georeferenced cloud point of a rock landslaide scaled with a 2 scale bars.

I must carry out a rotation of a cloud in order to measure the right orientation of geological fault and features.

I know the DIP and the DIP Direction (that can create a plane) of a flat surface of the cloud point, so i need to impose my measures to this know surface of the cloud.

In theory I need to carry out to rotations centred on my plane.
Someone can help me?

General / corn field impossible alignment

Hi all,

actually i am working on a corn field acquired with a MAVIC 2 PRO. I had 290 frama but MS can align only 33.

I know that this is a very complex dataset, i tried with different parameters but no way.
Someone can give me some advice on processing vegetation landscape with a very repetitive texturing?

General / strange results in thermal image alignment

Hi,
actually I am involved in a project where i need to produce a thermal map starting from a 3500 frame extracted from a video file.

But, for the first time I have some problems in the aligment both with full dataset and a subset. I don't undestrand the problem, I take 3 of the not aligned images in a new chunk and the images will be align very well.

In attachment a screenshot of the two results.
Someone have some idea?

General / Problems in dense cloud recostrution in extreme flat aea

Hi,

i'm try to recostruct an archeological excavations using ground based oblique photography.
But in the same area the cloud point have a "salt and pepper" effects (I attach a DEM screenshot where is more simply visible, red arrow indicate area with problems, and blue one the good area).

Someone have idea how to resolve the problems?

General / Effects of the quality of dense cloud generation

Hi,

someone can better explain the effects of the  quality parameters of the dense cloud in the final results?

Actually I perform some survey but i am located in a remote area with only a budget level notebook so I can't use medium or high parameters.

Geometry of the site is quite simple.
If I use Low and Lowest parameters to generate dense cloud: this will have effects only on the DEM resolution  or also on the quality of the geometrical recostruction?

General / "Vertical Image" from textured mesh

Hi,

I'm looking a way to generate a pseudo-ortoimage of a vertical rock wall.

Generally I does it without big problems but in this case the wall has many 90° angles and secondary faces and the result with the orthophotomosaic (generating from a Mesh and Current View option) introduce so many deformations.

So I created a texture over the mesh and it's quite good. There is a way to export it as a single image as show in the attached screen?

General / disaggregate error on camera positions

hi,

we perfomed a flight with a NRTK fixed-wing drone in a very complex Environment using about 60 GCP.

I want check the quality of NRTK GPS in a real world and I saw that in some flight (total 11) the errors are in metric order, in other are very low.
I didn't use camera position for block adjustment so I check distances from original camera positions and recalculated ones after bundle adjustment with GCP.

The results is visible in the Images. I want try to perform a better analisys, maybe with a statistics check of GPS raw data.
There is a way to visualize camera position error in disaggregate way suck the ground point. By the way XYZ error for every frame and not only the media?

Feature Requests / manual placement of tie point

hi,

In many traditional photogrammetric software alongside the GCP and CP placement is possible add some tie points manually. Essentially is the same process for adding the GCP but whitout the coordinate inputs. This would be great to resolve sama alignment problems, expecially in some ground photogrammetry situations or where the feature in different positions are very similar.

It's possible to add this feature? Or maybe is already possible?

General / problems in wall recostruction

I'm trying recostruct a old wall and obtain a 3d wall but as you can see in the images the front of the wall "derive" from the top.
this is the first time that I have serius alignment problem. can you help me with some advice?

General / Mask sky AFTER align

someone know if is possible remove the tie point that are inside a Mask after the alignment stage or I must restart the step:

Essentialy I must remove light blu point from the sky (see attach).

General / Difference in the final error with LOW and HIGH alignment parameters

Hi,
I performed the aligment of one images dataset. Every images have camera position acquired with RTK GPS (with better than 5 cm accuracy in the 98.5% of photograms).

After the align phase with LOW parametres I obtained a total main error of about 7 cm.
The same dataset processing with HIGH parameters give me a error of 53 cm.

In attachment a screenshot of the report.

It's normal? I had about 70 GCP to put on the model...wich models is better?

General / Help for re-import DEM

Hi,

after creating a digital elevation model in PS, I performed some processing in ArcGIS enviroment and then I tring to reimport DEM in PS to create ortophotomosaic.

The problem is that the new DEM have the lower value incorret. I think for the incorrect nodata value.
In the past I fixed the problem. But unfortunatly I really do not remember how!

Someone can help me?

Feature Requests / Tools to frame deblur

Hi,

someone know a Phyton script, or maybe the functions could be direct integrate in the PS in future, for deblur the problematic frames. For example with a Wiener deconvolution in the frequency domain (after a Fourier Trasform)?

There are some external software, but a tools inside PS to process frame acquired in very complex morfological and wheather area would be great.

I know that the ERDAS Image UAV based on Agisoft has this function so maybe there is some licence probleme?

General / Duplicate photos after merge of chunks

Hi,

after many processing is the time to perform orthomosaics.

I,ve merge 7 chunks but after that I've 7 duplicates for each Camera so I I've many problem to use the PC.
Actually I have about 60k cameras insteand of 8k.

Someone have an advice to delete 6 camera for each without do this manuals?
