General / Mass transforming markers

Hello to everybody. Is there a way to mark a few photos with the relevant GCP, then press update and then transform every other marker in the photoset (after selecting filter by markers) from blue flags to green ones? Most of the times marking 5-10 photos is enough for small datasets so I was wondering if it is possible to mass mark the rest of the markers too.

General / Building clouds for specific structures

Hello all, I would like to ask whether there is a certain workflow that we have to follow to reconstruct structures like high antennas or generally type of models that have thin and long details. We're having big trouble in modelling them because of the noise that is being attached on the structures. There was an older thread about this matter which I cannot seem to be able to locate now. I'm attaching two screenshots of comparison between Metashape and another photogrammetric software. Keep in mind that we've tried masking the antenna, but there was no better result

General / Network processing - questions

Hello to all, we have recently started testing network processing and I'm facing one or two problems during the procedure. More specifically we get a lot of bad allocation errors, even with the node unit that has been by now our main processing engine (working locally). I've checked with 1.4.0, tried building the depth maps and then cancelling the process. If I choose to process the project again with the single node (i7 6800k and 32gb RAM) by reusing the depth maps, the cloud is generated!

General / Better GPU vs more CPU

Hi to all. My question is, would it be better to invest in a better GPU card for an already working configuration and to be more specific, in buying a GTX 1080 with a retail of approximate 500€ or try getting a new refurbished workstation at about the same price with some Xeon processor (e5-1620 4cores)? The extra PC would be utilized for network processing...

General / Texture smoothness

Would anybody recommend a workflow for producing better looking texture, especially for high objects, like the quarry belts I'm attaching below? I'm looking to produce a more homogenous surface-texture, avoiding the vertical lines shown. Adaptive orthophoto method produces a better looking texture than generic, but still, the surface is not so clean looking
