General / Align to existing digital orthophoto?

Is there a trick to letting a set of collected photos choose tie points against an EXISTING orthophoto (e.g. a DOQQ) to avoid needing ground control points?

General / DEM of Top of Canopy?

Photoscanners:

I'm trying to generate a canopy height model which is the top of canopy elevation minus the terrain elevation.  The terrain elevation is easy enough, but is there some way to export a DEM of the HIGHEST points for a given region (the top of the plants -- all points, not just ground points)?  Thanks!

General / Best flight planning software for photogrammetry for DJI Mavic with Android?

Folks: I'm new to the drone-based photogrammetry world.  I'm trying to determine the best flight planning software that will work with a DJI Mavic Pro with an Android phone.  Pix4DCapture works well enough, but it doesn't allow me to capture photos in "RAW" mode, only a reduced-quality JPG which I'm finding is causing distortions in my images.  Does anyone have any recommendations for a good flight planning/autopilot that works for decent 3D photogrammetric purposes?

Alternatively, is there a trick to getting Pix4DCapture to collect RAW images (or, minimally, increase the quality of the JPGs?)
