Bug Reports / color misalignment on meshes from imported points
« on: July 12, 2018, 12:41:49 AM »
I'm importing scan points from Recap (.pts file), and meshing them in Photoscan Pro. I leave "Calculate Vertex Colors" turned on.
When I leave the face count at 0, Photoscan generates a very high face-count mesh (244 million polys), and takes many hours to finish. However, the RGB values on each of the vertices is correct, and looks good. The data is just too dense.
So when I mesh again and set the mesh count down to something lower (like 2 million polys), the process finishes much quicker and generates a usable mesh. BUT - the color mapping is wrong. It looks like an indexing problem, as if the decimation screwed up the proper spatial position of the colors on the mesh.
Picture included.
Using Pro v1.4.2 build 6205 on Win10.
