Hello everyone,
UPDATED from original post from Dec 20th, 2020:
Attached is a brief summary report of a project completed using drone imagery for surveying 16 site locations (images per site ranged from 67 to 745). Many people have asked me about Apple computers running Metashape. I hope this helps give somewhat of a general idea for some of the Mac users out there.
Also, like many of us know, there are numerous factors that influence how the various steps in Metashape run. Please be aware that I mainly focused on collecting the times (as reported in Metashape) for running the photo alignment, dense cloud, and mesh model steps. Higher alignment was used to improve orthomosaics but also as a comparison for standard 40,000/10,000 alignment key point and tie point limits.
Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks.
