General / Importing images depth maps

Hi!

I'm trying to process a Pix4Dcatch -  iPad Pro w/LiDAR, Tiff -  (to have fun) dataset

• images are in jpeg
• depth maps in tiff

I'm been running the py script Import external depth.
Depth Maps are well associated with images.
I've aligned the images from the script created "preprocessed" folder successfully.
I launch the command Build Point Cloud / Source data Depth Maps but it's resulting in a messy point cloud.
Any idea?

Python and Java API / SSL python module and scripts dependencies

Hi!

pip requires SSL so when I'm opening MS, it loads my python scripts (and the github ones). It then tries to import the missing dependencies and I get this error message:

Can't connect to HTTPS URL because the SSL module is not available.

The question is, how can I get SSL without messing MS python engine ?

General / Bentley mesh import issue: not referenced

Hi!
I've imported a OBJ mesh generated from Bentley ContextCature in RGF93 / CC48 (EPSG:3948).

The OBJ mesh is well visible on Metashape but only in Local coordinates (option is greyed at import, no other SCR choice possible). The goal is to perform measurements and orthofacades.

Bentley generates a reference metadata.xml (attached) file, not supported by Metashape.

Any clue ?

Feature Requests / Constant height/GSD terrain survey

Hi!
I've successfully used (Mavic 2 + DJI Pilot) Plan mission for vertical structures. It's a really great tool!

Who can do more can do less  It would also be great to generate an aerial mission planning for photogrammetry or video capture purpose at constant height above the DEM.

General / Unreferenced terrestrial 3D laser scan with WGS84 aerial images

Hi !
I've an unreferenced 3D building facades scan (no Local X,Y) along with aerial images WGS84. To "match" both I've tried the following :

• clear images coordinates from reference pane, align, define markers on images and pin markers on the LAS cloud (and attempting vice versa)
• align images, create markers set 1 from sparse cloud, create markers set 2 on same LAS locations and assign set 1 WGS84 coordinates to set 2, LAS cloud referential set to WGS84

I can't build mesh from terrestrial 3D scan since the whole building has not been scanned (3 facades only)
I cant' either align and merge both dense clouds...

IMHO there's nothing I can do, am I right ?

General / 4D Dynamic scene: how to export?

I didn't find the way to export the timelapse displayed in the timeline tab as a avi, mk, mp4. Maybe I missed a post in the forum.
