General / Multiple root folder locations for network processing

Is it possible to set multiple root folder locations when setting up network processing?
We are thinking of setting up a small NAS server in the office to do some preprocessing work while the network chugs away at models that are stored on a server several buildings away on campus.
Therefore the potential issue is that we may need to queue jobs between different data locations at the same time.
