Bug Reports / Selection-Tools adds more points than before

Hey folks,

I just upgraded my Metashape from 1.8 to the newest version and while I am very happy with some changes I encounter a problem regarding the free form selection tool.

In my current workflow, I need a very precise selection of certain points and while this worked great before now it seems there is a change in tolerance. So when I select points, using one of the manual selection tools,  more points end up in my selection than I actually want.  Additionally, this selection seems somehow random.

Pictures are attached. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Feature Requests / automated region detection

Hey,

i wanted to ask if it is possible to insert an automated region detection. In my workflow a rack holds several smaller objects in order to document more objects in a shorter period of time. The entire device -  including the objects - are photographed with the aim to only process the smaller objects as point cloud and mesh. Chunks are getting duplicated and the small subjects are isolated, while everything else is deleted. This is done for all smaller objects on the rack. Through the alignment process, the region is automatically as big as the rack and it would be aweseom if Metashape could automatically change the region or adapt the region to the new space that is occupied by the remaining points - the respective smaller objects on the rack. This would significantly sped up our process.
