General / Hawaiian state plane coodinate conversion issue
« on: November 10, 2024, 04:27:27 PM »
Has anyone in here done work in Hawaii? I have a control file that I am trying to bring into Metashape but it is causing some major conversion issues. Im trying to work with spc nad83 HI Zone 2 PA11.  When I set the project to epsg 6629 it tells me "unsupported datum transformation".  Ive been using Metashape for a few years now, and this is the first time Ive seen this error. I cant figure out how to get past it. Images are captured in wgs84.  Ive never had an issue converting a project to the marker's coordinate system before.

General / Gaps in Data
« on: November 01, 2024, 05:06:32 PM »
Does anyone know what would cause this to happen? I have never had so many issues with a dataset in my life. There are a couple of large uniform holes in the point cloud.

General / Issue processing rtk corrected imagery and GCPs
« on: November 01, 2024, 06:38:45 AM »
I have a set of data Im working on and I have noticed that after I try to align a few of the control points I am unable to shift the data (update/ transform) to the gcp markers. The sparse cloud does not move at all.  Is this because the rtk data is better than the gcps or vice versa? If I turn off all cameras I am able to shift the data to the gcps, if I turn the cameras back on the residuals are off to the tune of 20 - 30 feet.  Any ideas of what I might should do? Is there an issue with camera or marker references? It was flown with a DJI Mavic 3E.

General / Tie Point Misalignment
« on: October 14, 2024, 03:53:03 AM »
I am getting major tie point misalignment issues. Has anyone had this issue before and what did you do to fix it? In some areas the topography horribly mismatched.  The images were processed and adjusted spatially using PPK.

General / Tie Point Discrepancy
« on: October 11, 2024, 09:24:24 AM »
Ive not ever seen this before, but after aligning the photos in our project Im getting a mismatch in tie points. One area of tie points are raised above the adjacent points. The area is fairly homogenous and I am certain this has something to do with it. Even still, how do we remedy this?  It looks like a perfect seem right down the middle of the tie points. I will caveat and say that we did not fly this ourselves but are processing for another outfit. So I do not know what parameters they flew the area with. We have tried re-running the images a couple of times and are getting the same results.

We are playing with this today. Have the perfect job to do so on- not real big and not much weight behind it as far as customer expectations.  We did not gps the scans or the photogrammetry. It will ultimately serve to create an as-built of the property for some landscaping. It would be awesome to combine the photogrammetry and laser scans together but we arent really able to figure it out. We have been following the little tutorial in the release notes https://agisoft.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000168474-terrestrial-laser-scans-processing-in-metashape-2-1#Processing-of-terrestrial-laser-scans-with-images , but we arent having any luck. Has anyone else tried this or have a workflow down?  It would be super handy to be able to do this if we arent running our gps rover.

General / Adding images from a different day
« on: May 29, 2024, 06:37:37 AM »
Is it possible and if so how does it affect quality of your mapping if you go back and add additional images the next day? We mapped an area only to get back to the office and realize we need to tack on an additional part of a property. Can we lay gcps in this area and simply add those images to the main project? Do we need to lay all gcps out and re-fly?

General / Orthomosaic shift
« on: December 06, 2023, 05:55:53 AM »
We are having an issue after exporting an orthomosaic to Global Mapper and Civil 3D where the ortho is shifted in some places as much as .3'.  In Agisoft, the gcp's are dead on but in these other programs the target location and the gcp coordinates are not hitting in the same spot.  Why is this? Is there some kind of default scale when exporting out of agisoft?

Agisoft Cloud / Upload is having issues
« on: November 06, 2023, 09:30:29 PM »
Hello! I have a project on the desktop that I imported a tiff orthomosaic into which I then tried to upload to the cloud.  Rather than uploading the whole project, I made a new projet, uploaded the orthomosaic to the chunk and then uploaded the project to the cloud. However, after it uploads it hangs up on "processing results".  You can see in the second attachment that the thumbnail shows the orthomosaic but after clicking on it, the next page just says "processing". Can I not do things this way? I am trying to avoid uploading all the photos to the project because it will take up all of my storage space. It would be awesome if you could only upload what you need to share with clients.  Please help! Would like to share some stuff with a customer.

General / Import Shape File Nothing Happens
« on: November 03, 2023, 11:24:20 PM »
Hello! I am trying to import a shape file polygon to double check mission bounds for a project Im working on. However, when I import the shp file, nothing happens.  The layer is created but I the polygon is not visible.  Ive made sure that the shape file is in the same CRS and it is. Any ideas?

Bug Reports / Importing Point Cloud comes in at wrong location
« on: October 20, 2023, 08:17:50 AM »
Having an issue when we import point cloud captured with lidar.  Checking the point cloud in Recap Pro and the coordinates are correct but it seems like agisoft is applying some sort of scale factor to the point cloud when it comes in. Im trying to drop the lidar on top of the photogrammetry but its not working.
