General / Is it useful to provide Camera positions and elevations?
« on: April 04, 2025, 09:36:38 AM »
Hi,

I have a collection of images from 3 stationary camera stations all looking at a same target with good overlap. The target is a terrain feature. Unfortunately, cameras are not calibrated and does not have any kind of in-built location information. With the help of GNSS, I have obtained the Northing & Easting as well as the elevation of the camera stations. I also collected some GCPs on the target terrain feature but these are not visible in the image collections. I wish to know, if I import this reference (Northing, Easting and Elevation of Camera stations) (after image alignment), will it help in rendering better 3-D model and point cloud. If yes, then what is the exact procedure after the reference import? Just click on 'Optimise camera'?

Thank you for any help.

Hi,

For helping in alignment of the photos, I want to add manual Tie Points (markers). I have referred to the following previous posts in this forum:
https://www.agisoft.com/forum/index.php?topic=10529.0 and
https://www.agisoft.com/forum/index.php?topic=335.0

I tried the steps as suggested in the above two posts, but could not get it to work. When I right click on the image nothing of the sort 'create markers' appears. Please kindly refer to my screen recording (shared in G-drive) depicting the process:

I am using Metashape Pro (2.1.0) on Mac OS Big Sur (11.4). Kindly, let me know what am I missing here?

Hi,
I have imported the camera references from a CSV file and build a point coud. But now want to export the Projections and the Error (pix) from the reference Tab in metashape. When I do export references it does not give the option to download the projections and Error (pix). May anyone help me with this. Thanks you !!!!
