Bug Reports / "APPCRASH" Error When Trying to Open PhotoScan
« on: November 05, 2013, 11:38:27 PM »
Hi,
I have been having an issue on some computers where Agisoft PhotoScan crashes while it's trying to start. Currently I have Agisoft on three computers (two with version 0.9.1 build 1714 and one with version 0.8.4 build 1289).
When trying to install version 0.9.1 (upgrading from 0.8.4), everything works fine on the installation but the program crashes when you try to start it up. If I try to go back to the previous version or try to install version 1.0.0, Agisoft crashes with the same error. All of the computers that are encountering this issue are Windows 7 64-bit and are up to date.

Here is the appcrash report that is generated:

General / Problems Making 3D Model From Video Frames
« on: July 17, 2013, 07:06:04 PM »
I am trying to make 3D models from extracted video frames. I am not shooting HD video but rather taking 4K (8.8 MP) and 5K (13.8 MP) video. I am reconstructing a relatively flat surface and after aligning the photos the point cloud shows a distinctive arch that is not accurate (see attached).

I have made 3D models of this surface before using several different Nikon DSLRs with recent versions of Agisoft without a problem. I have tried to edit the EXIF data by adding the focal length in (since it is not the 50mm default) and tried changing the Fx and Fy in the camera calibration. I have also tried constructing small chunks as well as the full data set of 80 frames and both versions Agisoft Photoscan Pro 0.9 and 0.9.1 but the same problem persists.

Any thoughts?

Bug Reports / Out of memory error.
« on: October 13, 2011, 06:47:34 PM »
I keep getting an "out of Memory" error when I try to build the geometry of for projects involving more than about 60 photos or so. I have tried lowering the quality to medium but I receive the same error.

I am running the latest version of AgiSoft Photoscan Pro ( 0.8.3 Build 1224) on Windows 7 64-bit computer.

I have 96GB of ram installed on the computer but when I get the error, no more than about 10GB are being used.

Thanks,

Rick
