Collada does indeed have different parameters for focal length and filmback when I import. how strange.
Collada also maintains the correct filmback size.

Feature Requests / points visibility toggling and point overlay
« on: January 03, 2014, 04:28:33 AM »

The ability to select a photo or photos and disable the points it creates for the scene. Right now I have to delete the picture and then I will see the points disappear but this is undoable decision.

another great feature would be to see the points overlaid on top of the image you are "looking through" at a 50% opacity. This would help make decisions if points are worth deleting or not.

Thanks for the support!!

Zack

I am using FBX and I am indeed using C4D, although i figure it has nothing to do with C4D.

Jed, Thank you for a very informative post!

You are correct about that, but i cant imagine that the film backs are round in such a way. If i manually turn the virtual camera back to 36mm film back i can tell it is off.

General / exported camera settings
« on: July 18, 2013, 02:13:40 AM »
Hello everyone,
I am exporting scenes created with a camera and lens that are recognized by photoscan (for this instance it is a 50mm on a 5D) and when I export the model my camera settings are all slightly off. for example in my 3d software I will see the cameras at 51.289mm / 38.1mm film back, when it should be 50mm / 36mm. any thoughts on why photoscan is creating new parameters for the scans?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Zack

like the title says, something that would be incredible helpful would be the ability to select a point after aligning and then be able to see what camera that point is attached to. At the moment i need to delete a photo and then i am able to see which points were connected to it..
