great!!!
I didn't know the phrase interior / exterior orientation.
thank you very much!

so all we have to do is:
1. importing the according photos / textures
2. import cameras (named in a specific way?)
3. hit tools menu > tie points > build point cloud
4. create texture

would be nice

Camera Calibration / Re: Lens software - still available?

hi

but is it still relevant?
does it really offer much of an improvement or is the photoscan algorithm capable of doing it on the fly?

but does this reposition / reorient my current camera position

General / create texture from pre-calibrated / pre-aligned camera positions
« on: November 23, 2016, 10:01:10 AM »
Hi all!

We have imported a set of pre-aligned camera stations into photoscan. When it comes to creating textures the according buttons are greyed out. Photoscan wants me to align photos internally again but we don't want to touch the present solution.

Is this feature possible within Photoscan?

hope to hear from you soon

General / Re: TUTORIAL - Request

A good tutorial about the basics of photogrammetry and understanding some of the algorithms behind the functioning of Agisoft would be amazing as well.  ;)

I agree... some details on what algorithms PS uses would be both useful and interesting. It is very black box at the moment.

information about the algorithms would come in very handy . ..
we still haven't figured out if shooting stereo pairs enhances the meshes?!

and how does ultra high affect the dense point cloud creation? couldn't compare it with high cause ultra high takes ultra long :) [I upgraded to 64 gb ram - guess we still need more for a 100 shots scene?!].
is it worth all the calculations?

hope to hear from you soon

Face and Body Scanning / photogrammetry with known camera positions
« on: May 02, 2014, 10:50:24 AM »
hello,

just one question - does agisoft offer better results when the software knows the camera's position ...?!
is there a way to tell agisoft about the relative positions?

we have to minimize the space requirements for a 360 body setup :)
