Bug Reports / Re: Geoid heights and tiled model
« on: January 20, 2025, 05:55:43 PM »
I think I have found the solution:

We only work with GPS coordinates of the images, switching them to ell. heights converts the heights. When I work with control points, these do not change their heights. A subsequent update then moves the project back to the control point heights and then it works.

Hello Paulo,

I don't know how you did it, in any case I can't do it that way. If I set the crs from geoid to ell. hight, agisoft immediately calculates the elevations to the ell. hight, an output is then made with the ell. heights, unfortunately about 48 meters too low.

Hello Paulo,

we always work with geoid heights, i.e. the heights would have to be reduced by the undulation height, then the tls must be exported and then the project must not be saved. That's how I imagine it.

Is there a ready-made script that shifts the complete model by a fixed height value? I only know scripts that move the cameras, but that doesn't shift the model.

I would like to take up the topic again, as the solution with the geoid file is not a good one.

Is there a way to move the entire agisoft project by a certain height offset? Then the heights would be displayed correctly in the viewer without the client having to fiddle around with the geoid file.

Perhaps there is already something that exists with python programming?

As long as the scanning support is as poorly implemented as it is at the moment, I wouldn't do that. I do 95% of my scans in Faro Scene. I only calculate in Metashape if we have a combination of images and scans. And that's usually more trial and error. A lot still needs to change in Metashape before I can use it more often.

I have the same problem with the Nvidia GPU Drivers Rev. 565.90.

I had to install the newest driver for other Software.

Is there a workaround?

After the orthomosaic option returned an incorrect alignment of the orthoimage after view, I tried the orthomosaic by control points option. The orientation of the image is now fine, unfortunately the texture (from Textured Model) is bad and has imperfections.

When selecting Texture from tiled model, I have no way to select the tiled model when I select the option "from view" or "from control" points.

I have now textured a large block model and want to create views of it from fixed directions with fixed pixel size, so far all possibilities have failed.

What other options do I have?

I try to produce a orthomosaic. In the result the orientation is wrong.

General / Project is empty after crash
« on: September 26, 2024, 07:16:21 PM »
The following problem:

I have a large project with 30000 images and 120 scans. I wanted to calculate the dense point cloud. After about 3 hours, the calculation crashed. After that, I was able to open the project, but without any content. The project is completely empty. The folders on the hard drive are all still there with data, but I can't open the project anymore. Attaching to an empty project also doesn't work.

Any tips?

I've played through that again, you're absolutely right. By deactivating and activating images, I accidentally added a few grayscale scans. I didn't notice that.

Thanks for the help!

« on: September 05, 2024, 06:54:55 PM »
Has anyone ever had that?
All orthomosaics come out as a grayscale image, colors say 1 channel, uint8.

All activated images are colorful, all scans with their images, which are grayscale, are deactivated.

I've tried everything for 3 hours now.....

General / Quality report for aligning laserscans
« on: August 21, 2024, 06:32:43 PM »
Now that the output in E57 format works then we should turn to the next -very important function for a surveyor- a proof of accuracy in alligning laser scans.

It would be very nice to have a graphical preparation with the corresponding errors of the individual points analogous to the output mask "Show matches" for the TiePoints.

In addition, the following information should be presented:
-Distribution and number of identical points found
-Accuracy of the identical points found
-And from this calculates a key figure for quality estimation (0=bad 100=super)

Other suggestions are welcome.

Nope

Can`t connect to the activation server.

What´s the difference between those two steps because my internet is working?
