General / Re: Reclassify Objects by Bordering Class
« on: July 22, 2018, 10:14:21 PM »
Im gonna answer my own question here - hopefully this will help those in the future who stumble across this post.

I ended up using Class Related Features -> Relations to Neighboring Objects -> 'Number of' which allows for a unit in object numbers. That works well, not perfect, but well enough.

General / Reclassify Objects by Bordering Class
« on: July 21, 2018, 06:47:01 PM »
Hi all,

Apologies if there is already a question on this, but I cannot seem to find one.

I have two classes of objects. I would like to reclassify individual objects of ClassA to Class B, if the ClassA objects are surrounded on 4 sides by objects of ClassB. So basically, filling in gaps of stand-alone ClassA objects.

I have been trying a few different things - in particular relative border ClassB ... however I cannot seem to get ideal results. The units as well for these things have no descriptions in most cases so its just been a bunch of random trial and error.

Can anyone recommend the proper approach? Much appreciated,

Alex.

General / Exported One-Band Orthophotos
« on: July 23, 2015, 06:53:22 AM »
Hello everyone!

Basically I used a 5-band sensor to acquire UAV imagery. The raw data comes out with each band as a separate image file. Since I can't mass stack these frame by frame (slight offset in bands) I decided to process 5 orthophotos and align them afterwards to deal with offset. (Incase you are wondering I used the micasense multispectral camera).

So, I did just that... however the single band imagery when mosaicked and exported as an ortho comes out as two band (gray and alpha).

Is there a way to make sure it stays one band for export?

Thanks all so so much

Thanks Marcel and James, you have been extremely helpful.

I tried just manually checking the photos using James' method and it seems like a couple of the sensors picked up blurry images for Red and Green bands (using micasense).

I will also try out the software pixelkeeper which seems immensely helpful. I am going to eventually retry the mosaics when I have time and update the results. Gotta sort out something else now! haha

General / Blurry Patches in Orthophotos
« on: July 21, 2015, 08:37:41 PM »
Hi all,

so I am getting blurry patches in my orthophotos and am not sure why. I though maybe it was due to photos with high/low pitch and roll values- but I disabled those cameras and reprocessed with similar blurry results.

I am pretty sure all my photos are sharp (hard to inspect 4000 photos). Just wondering if there is something else I can do that may help with this issue. Perhaps I am missing something- any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

General / Camera Calibration Process
« on: June 18, 2015, 12:06:59 AM »
Hi All,

Can someone explain how I should go about the camera calibration process in agisoft? I already aligned my photos, and when I enter the Camera Calibration settings it has the 'Initial' and 'Adjusted'.... which one did it use?

I want to enter my own parameters for my camera so should I enter it into initial or adjusted? And then should I re-align?

Thanks so much!

Alex~

Also I think you can override the telemetry data by unchecking the cameras in the reference pane and clicking update (once you have entered the gcps), followed by optimise if required.

Thanks so much James- this is a huge help! I am gonna give it a try in a few days with my new imagery- I will update.

General / Setting Markers for Ground Control Points Process

Hi all,

I want to use my GCPs to set the accuracy for my UAV photos.... I already have them geotagged using telemetry data but I have many GCPs which I recorded in the field and I'd like to use them to over-ride the telemetry accuracy.

This is my first time attempting it with agisoft.... I am assuming before I do anything in workflow I should be placing my markers beforehand in agisoft... is this correct?

Thanks!

General / Agisoft Vs. Erdas for Image Classification
« on: June 05, 2015, 04:49:37 AM »
Hello all- first post!

I am just prospecting this agisoft software thus I am curious- as I am a regular erdas user... it seems the agisoft generates more 3D terrain models when creating mosaicks. Would this essentially distort pixels? As I am debating whether I should use this software for mosaicking, then classifying crop stress with UAV imagery in erdas.

Thanks!~ Ashura
