Harry,
Are you perchance using DJI kit? - there's a notorious and long running issue where the 'height' in the EXIF is actually barometric height above the take-off point.

Zagnimarco1,

They're not PhotoScan/MetaShape software specific terms - they're relatively standard photogrammetry terms.

Very crudely:
Key point = a distinct feature in one single image
Tie point = where same feature has been recognised in multiple images

Schorge,
What units are your x, y and z?

Aceproject,
You need to give more information. You say 'not accurate'. Is it out by centimetres? metres? kilometres? wrong continent / mid-ocean?     Is it 'wrong' in all directions? or is it just too high or too low?  How is your model referenced? Did you use GCPs?

Gerry,
Almost certainly it is the long-running issue with DJI kit recording elevations as those above takeoff point, not above the ellipsoid or any other datum. If you search here on the forum  for, say, DJI height you can find other threads on this and solutions to correct the DJI data.

Foxx1,

If you can only import a single file, just use LAStools to merge them all into one LAS file.
You can download LAStools here: https://rapidlasso.com/lastools/

Edited to add download link

8ashe - MetaShape is just version 1.5 of PhotoScan and it is a free upgrade for all licensed PhotoScan users; there are also other advantages to running current version of the software.
If for some reason you are forced to use an old version, it could be useful if you could advise exactly which version that is.

Tymal77,
As a first step, I would suggest you share one of your source images and also a screenshot of your resultant model.

Bump.
Sensehawkrd - might I suggest that the Agisoft team are entitled to their weekend and it may be Monday before they reply to your Friday evening post.

Erick - if you've got access to Surfer, I would use that and then you could back-compare to result from MetaShape - which may well give the same answer!

Erick,

Personally my go-to tool for something like this is Surfer - I'd just take the two DEMs and subtract them in Surfer using a polygon (drawn or imported) as a bounding/blanking line. You could also use Cloud Compare (clue is in the name!), and probably also in QGIS, ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil, TBC...

Jaborep,

I can't help you personally but couple of items it would help others to advise are:
1) What version of PhotoScan MetaShape do you have on your PC?
2) What version of PhotoScan MetaShape does your friend have on their PC?
3) Can you post (attach) the console log for a failed run from your PC?

Jurijs, If this is acquired with DJI UAV, then this will be the infamous DJI height-above-takeoff bug - just search here on the forum for   DJI height   and you'll find lots about it and also haw you can resolve it.

Dronepaca,

General / Re: help install metashape on ubuntu 18.04
« on: March 02, 2019, 01:10:51 PM »
Alberto,
Installation is in chapter 1 page 3 of the manual.

If you use the [Search] button at the top of the forum page and put Ubuntu, there are 100+ hits including installation. If you do a Google search       site:agisoft.com/ Ubuntu installation    there are similarly over 100 hits - I'm sure if you look at either of those you will find helpful information.
