HI,

I am in the same problem dealing with errors and I am wondering how AGISOFT calculate XY combined error and Z, as well as the total error reported in the AGISOFT report table?

I could not find any documentation online, Can you shed some light on this matter??

Thanks,
Napo

Hi Alewey,

Thanks so much for your reply, I will definitely uncheck the camera positions from the reference pane, I thought that using "geotagged" pictures helps with the processing but with that high errors, it probably won't.

I would like to ask you 2 more questions:

I am wondering if the projection errors on markers are the accuracy of the dGPS data?

And, there any standard calibration procedure for GoPro pictures?

Thanks again,
Napo

Hi Alexey,

I am getting high errors and I did the camera optimization including GCP's. I dont know if some pictures (attached an image as example) taken upside down are causing these high errors, or maybe I am missing a step in the workflow. I am using pictures from a gopro (fisheye lens) and I already set that in camera calibration but I am not sure if I am doing well.

Can you please shed some light on this matter?

Thanks!

Hi again,

I am still having problems to get the elevation model, I tried several ways to correct my point cloud without any success, my resulting model is upside down. I checked several times my coordinate system of my GCP's (UTM 11N), and seems like this is not the probem.

I realized that the coordinates (N,E or lat, long) in the reference panel changed too much before and after set the coordinate system, I mean the coordinates turns into strange values. Can you please help me to find out what the problem is??

I sent my psz file to support@agisoft.com.

Thanks so much in advance,
Napo

Alexey, thanks for your response.

I ran the model with and without camera positions, and it has the same problem. I tried with wgs84(EPSG::3326) and WGS84/UTM zone 11N(EPSG::32611) for the reference of the GCP's. Should I set the coordinates system somewhere else?

Hello,

I am getting an upside down oriented model in Agisoft, is something like 180 degree rotated...  I've doble checked  that I haven't confused my easting/northing coordinates when I import my GCP's. Can you please shed some light on this matter??

Thanks in advance,
Napo

Hello Alexey,

Thanks so much for your response. I am attaching the screen shot that you requested (1.jpeg) where everything looks good in the model. But when I export the resulting DEM, the model looks like "upside down" to me (see 2.jpeg). Actually, when I turn on the hillshade on it, depressions look like elevations (see 3.jpeg). I hope that I am being clear on my explanation, I am not an native english speaker... but I honestly really appreciate your help and patience.

Hi everybody,

I am having the same orientation problem, I "n- times" checked my GCP's, and I used the rotate object tool, but I have no control to rotate my model exactly to the actual orientation.

I have a previous photoscan survey that I could use some object to refer, but how can I display 2 different point clouds on Agisoft at the same time?

Can anyone please shed some light on this matter? Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,
Napoleon

Hi everybody,

I need to make some measures from an orthophoto, but I only have terrain distances measured at the field, no GCP's.

Can anyone please help me??

Thanks in advance,

Thanks so much Alexey,

I am processing now, but the sparse point cloud looks way better oriented! My fault, sorry I am a beginner, this forum is awesome. ;)

thanks again!

Hello,

I am having orientation problems to export the DEM and orthophoto from a model. Seems like my model is upside down... some features are facing to the east when it actually has to face to the west... Can anyone help me please to solve this problem??

Thanks in advance,
Napoleon
