Hello,
I want to generate 16 bit OpenEXR textures, so I converted all of my incoming images from RAW to OpenEXR in Photoshop via ProEXR. However, when I load the resulting EXRs into Photoscan, the images appear very washed out. You can see what I mean with the attached screen capture.
This would not bother me, except that when I try aligning the images, several of the cameras with large washed out areas fail to solve correctly. The exact same images, when I convert them to JPEG, solve without a problem, which makes no sense -- the OpenEXR images should provide additional image information for the solve. The washed out areas seem to be spoofing the algorithms.
Is there some exposure setting that I missed? This seems to happen on some of the input files that are 32 bit as well, generated from bracketed tripod images.
I've also read a variety of conflicting posts from Agisoft on whether 16 bit input images will automatically generate 16 bit output textures. What's the current status on this?
Thanks!
