General / Re: rotate cloud with a referance plane
« on: November 25, 2020, 11:38:49 AM »
Hi Alexey,

I tried and the script works (I changed PhotoScan with Metashape at the end in the R rotation matrix) and it works, but I think that is not ok for me.
I need to imposte my know direction in some way...

Thanks

Hi Alexey,

my flat area is the area B on the attachment. So I think that I can place 3 markers. One for every of the 3 corners of the area.
waht do you think?

Thanks.

General / rotate cloud with a referance plane
« on: November 24, 2020, 01:32:09 PM »
Hi,
I am writing because I must perform a quite complex operation (for me) and I hope someone can help me.

I had a non-georeferenced cloud point of a rock landslaide scaled with a 2 scale bars.

I must carry out a rotation of a cloud in order to measure the right orientation of geological fault and features.

I know the DIP and the DIP Direction (that can create a plane) of a flat surface of the cloud point, so i need to impose my measures to this know surface of the cloud.

In theory I need to carry out to rotations centred on my plane.
Someone can help me?

Thank you

Emanuele

Thank you stihl,

my GSD is 8mm

I will try a Low and Lowest parameters in aligment.

Thank You

General / corn field impossible alignment

Hi all,

actually i am working on a corn field acquired with a MAVIC 2 PRO. I had 290 frama but MS can align only 33.

I know that this is a very complex dataset, i tried with different parameters but no way.
Someone can give me some advice on processing vegetation landscape with a very repetitive texturing?

Thank you so much.

I noticed that wetrasfer link is now out of date.
did you manage to download the files?

Thanks

I think to try the new sequential alignment..what do you think?

Sony A6000 is not a metric camera so you can't have a official certificate...

Original images are scaled frame per frame.
In MATLAB i read all the pixel value from all the images so i can change the color scale where the minumum value black are the lowest temperature of all dataset and white the hightest of the entire dataset.
Than i had change valued of outliers

Anyway, with others dataset there was no problem with this processing...OPTRIS data are quite complex to use...

Hello Emanuele,

Can you share the sample data with support@agisoft.com?

I don't think using Calibrate Lens option would be helpful here. More useful could be re-using the calibration values from any previously processed older project where the same sensor has been used.

Sorry for the delay.

I've upload on wetrasfer my dataset after scaling in MATLAB: https://we.tl/t-OSV72wrD6h

Please let me know if there are something that I can try to resolve misalignment.

Tank you,

Emanuele

can be useful tryng to perform the camera calibration with metashape tool?

Thank you,

I follow your advise and the frame was aligned...but the results is strange....

Do you have other test to perform?

Thanks

General / strange results in thermal image alignment
« on: November 08, 2019, 04:58:25 PM »
Hi,
actually I am involved in a project where i need to produce a thermal map starting from a 3500 frame extracted from a video file.

But, for the first time I have some problems in the aligment both with full dataset and a subset. I don't undestrand the problem, I take 3 of the not aligned images in a new chunk and the images will be align very well.

In attachment a screenshot of the two results.
Someone have some idea?

Thank you

Emanuele

The issue looks to be related to the alignment problems, like if there are several subsets of images aligned independently within the same project.
Thank you, Maybe the problem could be the excessive overlap and number of images with no good geometrical distribution?
Maybe there are a way to perferm reduce overlap before the alignment process?

General / Problems in dense cloud recostrution in extreme flat aea
« on: June 22, 2019, 07:27:33 PM »
Hi,

i'm try to recostruct an archeological excavations using ground based oblique photography.
But in the same area the cloud point have a "salt and pepper" effects (I attach a DEM screenshot where is more simply visible, red arrow indicate area with problems, and blue one the good area).

Someone have idea how to resolve the problems?

Thanks...
