General / How much faster is network processing?
« on: September 01, 2017, 02:09:29 AM »
If i have 2 identical client machines on a server, processing the same scan together, will it be almost twice as fast as processing the scan on just one of the client machines with no server.

General / Re: Photoscan not using virtual memory.

I just changed the pagefile setting to "system managed".
Its not ideal for an ssd, but photoscan is using it now.

General / Photoscan not using virtual memory.
« on: June 05, 2017, 05:20:23 PM »
I built a dense cloud (at ultra high setting) from 5 21mp photos, and photoscan says not enough memory.
I have 8GB ram and an ssd drive with 20gp free space.
It seems photoscan isnt using virtual memory/pagefile because i dont see ssd space being eaten up during the dense cloud building.
I have the pagefile set to min 400mb max 18gb.

Bug Reports / Re: Photoscan not using GPU :(
« on: May 13, 2017, 09:32:43 PM »
I never new there was a gpu tab, silly me  ::)
The problem is sorted now, all i had to do was enable the gpu in preferences.
I searched for the solution for some time and never saw any mention of it, so assumed there was a problem, but turns out the preferences were set wrong.
Thanks

Bug Reports / Photoscan not using GPU :(
« on: May 13, 2017, 04:12:13 PM »
I was pleased to see "Added GPU acceleration for image matching" in the changlego for version 1.3
However, after testing, I see my on gpu monitor shows no gpu load during image processing/matching atall. the only time its active, is when im pannig atound the 3d space in the photoscan viewport.
I have tried 1.3.1, and 1.3.0 using a 30-day trial key.
I am using a gtx 860M (optimus).
I have checked the GPU control panel settings and they are fine.
