Thank you for your feedback.

We find this feature to be a reasonable improvement for a particular group of users and will consider adding it in a future update. However, there’s no timeline we can share yet.

Hello Alex,

Thank you for your detailed response.

Although we currently have no plans to develop a QGIS plugin, you can automate the process of uploading data from QGIS to Agisoft Cloud using the Metashape stand-alone Python module. For more information on how to install it, please refer to this guide: Metashape Stand-Alone Python Module.

Here’s an outline of how you can achieve this:

1. Install the Metashape stand-alone Python module in the QGIS Python environment.
2. Write a script to perform the following steps:
   - Export all raster layers in your QGIS project as .geotiff files.
   - Create a new .psx project.
   - Import the exported raster layers into the .psx project.
   - Upload the raster layers to a specific project in Agisoft Cloud using the

Code: [Select]

Metashape.app.document.chunk.publishData method.
   - Delete the temporary exported files and .psx project.

Please note that vector layers cannot be uploaded to Agisoft Cloud using this method at the moment.

This solution requires a good understanding of both QGIS and Python scripting, but it should allow you to automate the workflow for raster data.

Thank you for your feedback.

In this mode, you will be able to overlay vector layers on raster maps and control the transparency of the raster maps. Additionally, this view is a 2D projection of a 3D map, so the user will also have the option to view 3D models and point clouds if needed.

Does this setup work for you? Would this approach meet your needs, or would you prefer a different view option?

The fix has been successfully deployed.

You should now be able to upload the project that was previously uploaded to the cloud and deleted, without needing any of the previously recommended workarounds.

Hello,

Thank you for reporting the issue.

It appears there is a bug on our end that prevents uploading the project to the cloud if it was previously uploaded and deleted there.

In the meantime, to upload this project to the cloud, please save it with a different name on your device and then upload this new version.

We will notify you as soon as the fix is deployed and tested, at which point this workaround will no longer be necessary.

Thank you for the detailed description of your use cases and needs.

Just to clarify, do you think a viewer with the map always oriented to the north (without the option to rotate) would work for this group of users? You can try a working example of a viewer with the map always oriented north by visiting this link: 2D Viewer Example .

Additionally, we want to let you know that several improvements for navigation in a model view are on the way, and they will be released in the coming months.

Hello, and thank you for your feedback!

Could you please clarify the advantages of having separate 2D viewer for the DEM and Orthomosaic? Also, what do you find problematic with the 3D viewer, since it allows you to upload and view both raster maps and elevation models?
