General / Camera Substract -45m in Altitude
« on: February 01, 2024, 04:19:18 PM »
Hey,

I need to substract a value of -45m from camera altitude in Agisoft.

By tried to use the "convert reference" function  WGS 84 to ETRS89 (see screenshot) and substract the value, but the end values does not fit (see below).
Normally for example 186.65-45 = 141.65

See Example 1/ Result 1 by -45
-> From 186.65 to 222.70 =  ADD 36,05. WHY?!

See Example 2/Result 2 by +45
-> From 186.65 to 150.60 =  Subtract 36,05. WHY?!

How to substract a value of -45m in altitude of all cameras?

Best wishes and thanks,
Norman

Hello Alexey,

I have the same problem and actually testing the "tiled" file option solution.

In general the process needs much more time with the tiled option (2 hours compared to 10 mins normally).
I was wondering why this is working in some cases without any extra options and in special cases not.
Is this caused by different resolutions?

Best,
Norman

Alexey, thank you ver much!

I was wondering why this is not mentioned anywhere? Not in the tutorial I mentioned  as well as not in the general manual of agisoft.
I would need a reference for my work.

Best,
Norman

General / Micasense processing

Dear all,

I used the tutorial of "MicaSense RedEdge MX processing workflow (including Reflectance Calibration) in Agisoft Metashape Professional 1.5 : Helpdesk Portal"
https://agisoft.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000148780-micasense-rededge-mx-processing-workflow-including-reflectance-calibration-in-agisoft-metashape-pro

Short question, beside the reflectance calibration, is also the exposure time, lens vignette effect, sensor gain and black level values corrected during the process?
Like Micasense suggested it?

Best wishes and thanks in advance,
Norman

Dear all,

I tried to use the following tutorial to process MicaSense sensor data in Agisoft Metashape.

https://agisoft.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000148780-micasense-rededge-mx-processing-workflow-including-reflectance-calibration-in-agisoft-metashape-pro

Regrettably the values in the orthomosaic are DN values and not reflectance values. I spend now hours to find a solution, without any success.
Also Appendix C (Controlling reflectance calculation) is fulfilled, the “Normalize band sensitivity” option is checked on.

Does anyone knows a solution for this problem?

Best wishes,
Norman Wilke

Hello Alexey,

also after the newest Update Version 1.4.1 build 5925 (26 February 2018) after "Calibrate Reflectance" the images getting black and also the products like 3D point cloud as well as the Orthomosaik is only black.

I send the images to you, you can see it by yourself if you want.

Best wishes,
Norman

 Hello Alexey,

First of all thanks for your stamina!

Yes, I'm also pretty sure that these values are not correct.
I did what you asked for. Attached you can find the examples. Regrettably the values doesn't change at all.
But the Normalize Band Sensitivity" option is checked on and this is normally only the case if the Reflectance Calibration procedure is complete, right?
I have tested the same with Parrot Sequoia data and it is the same issue.

Moreover I wrote a short tutorial for the multiband-calibration_1.4.0 (built 5650) (see attached). Is there something wrong?

Best wishes,
Norman

Hello Alexey,

yes, I can confirm that. I'm not using the old project.

Thanks for your fast reply! I'm using the complet New Version 1.4.0 build 5650. I also used the function to detect the images with the calibration panel and mask them out automatically and it works how you can see in my attached images, but regretably with wrong outputs in the "Camera Calibration Bands tab "

Dear Alexey Pasumansky,

first of all thanks for you nice brief instruction for the multiband-calibration.

I made everything like you said but regretably every time (and I tried it 30 times) i got complety wrong values for  the "black level" and the "sensitivity".

I checked everything, all panels are automatically regonized and also in every band, but everytime I only get black images as outcome. Do you know maybe a reason why? Maybe also some of the others can help me?
