Hey Arie,

thats sounds like a good try!
I'm going to check it out.

Would you tell me what your prefered Key Points and tie Points are? And on which parameters do you adjust them?

Cheers,
Anton

Hey Alex,

Yes I have, and they all look like the one in the screenshots. So the Apple has a mask around it always.
Thanks for your help!

Hey guys,

I'm still working on my little project of scanning an apple.
I'm jusing a studio light setup and mask the apple.

I already got a decent result with the settings I used during the camera alignment and after this using the "reset camera realignment".
If I wouldn't have used the reset command my pointcloud looks kind of wrong.

So my question is what kind of settings are you using to get the best camera alignment in the first run. Or what would you suggest in my case. Current idea is to scan a lot of veggis and fruits.
Thanks for your help guys.

I attached a screenshot of my settings, the masking of a photo and the result.

Hey Guys,

I have a question regarding the camera alignment. Maybe you can help me out.
So I used agisoft two years ago and did some test and they worked quite well. So know I wanted to start scanning objects like fruits.

My first try was to use an apple.
I have a small lightbox and a Canon eos7d with a standard camera kid (18-135mm).
I took some pictures inside the box and masked the apple out in Agisoft.

For some reason the alignment isn't working right.
Is it because i turned the apple around and took another row of shots. But then I dont understand the use of the masks.

Tried different setting for keypoints and tie points.

I attached a Wetransfer link to see some screenshots:

Thanks for any help.

Hey guys,

I read the user manual of Photoscan and cant still figure out what the Tie points in the allginment step are ?

Could someone explain what they are doing, is it just a filtering methode of bad points?

Cheers!!!

Hey guys,

I was wondering how to get better a better resoultion of the texture of my model.

Is it better to shoot more rows of my models and some additional cloes up pictures or does it just rely on the mp of my camera ?

Thanks for your help !

Okay it seems like my masking wasn't working well.

I tried it with two models again and it worked on a low resolution.  i will try it the next time with hihger settings.

Guys thanks a lot. I will keep asking some questions if I run into new problems

Hey Alexey, I actually loaded all files up, but it seems like dropbox didn't wanted to load them up !
I will change that in a view minutes so that you can open it!

And James I did that yes, I will try it again with your settings and see how it goes. I'll show you the result.

Thanks a lot so far!

I tried it with another model.

I actually have a quite good mask but the cameras wont align.

I did put my agisoft file into my dropbox:
