Python and Java API / Re: Merge markers after detection!!
« on: April 23, 2021, 08:31:16 AM »
I had Merge Chunks issues. If you select 'merge markers' along with 'merge dense clouds' and 'merge models', it'll bypass a point-by-point alignment and merge markers in your space.
I could pm you my screenshots and explain the workflow, if you're interested.

Python and Java API / Re: When do we need (self) in methods??
« on: April 21, 2021, 11:14:29 AM »
Self was one of the things for me that took some time to sink in. As an analogy to understand it better I borrowed this instead of self from Java/JS.
this.name = name instead of self.name = name
where this is presupposed to be a reference to this object in question.

Hi,
Have you tried PythonAnywhere? AWS Free tier will definitely work too. And you'll have a dedicated VPS.

One more cheap variant is to run a Raspberry pi with the script.

I've been also looking for the license info, as I want to use Photoscan Pro on cloud based virtual machine . Does the payment for cloud based virtual machine require extra payment for the data processing storage?

Hello,

I've been using a ChArUco board. Which actually lets Metashape complete the photo alignment process on the image sets I gather on the board. You may also want to check this tutorial - https://docs.opencv.org/3.1.0/df/d4a/tutorial_charuco_detection.html

General / Re: How to edit DEM
« on: March 07, 2019, 01:14:48 PM »
Hi there,

I'm not sure about Agisoft, but I used the DEM Editing Tool (Harris Geospatial Solutions). Or one more option is to convert the DEM file into a 3D model and then edit it with a regular 3D modeling tool (Blender or Meshlab, etc.).
