I'm having the same problems with freezing while using a 5090 - dump file is too large to enclose - linked below

Hello,

I am trying to use a smartphone camera to recreate an environment with proper scale. I have GPS data but it does not seem to be strong enough in getting the scaling we need. I also have depth map imagery which uses the phone's LiDAR sensor to capture depth information. I have used the python script to embed the depth information into the images however I don't think this is desired as the goal is to use the depth maps for scaling, not scene reconstruction. So I have a few questions:

1. Is there a process in metashape to use the depth maps just for scaling given that these depth maps can tie to a image in the data set but not be used in alignment/processing?
2. Should we focus on specific objects for these depth maps?
3. Is there any other ways to get more accurate scaling?

Thank you for any help and insight you can provide!

Using smartphone depth sensors such as LiDAR. The depth maps seem to have inverted colors after import which is interesting, is that something that can be fixed as it's imported in Agisoft or should that be corrected externally. Was able to add the images twice, a set without depth maps and a few close range photos and view the depth maps as well by clicking show depth maps. Have tried to align the photos and scale them as a reference but haven't been able to figure it out as yet. Do you have suggested steps in order for how to align and scale the photos properly, thank you!

I used this script to import external depth maps for my images and am finding the alignment to be different than normal. I've tried changing several of the alignment settings after clicking align photos but the sparse cloud seems very different then the camera poses or point cloud that is created when using the same photos without imported depth maps. Attached are two images of this, one with imported depth maps and one without depth maps under the same alignment settings. Are there any suggested settings to change to make this run correctly and overall would using importing depth maps be a feasible way to create a to scale point cloud as that is the overall goal.

Hello Agisoft - reviving this thread, any update on .heic support?  This is obviously an imporant feature for the community.  Many thanks!
