Face and Body Scanning / New rig for faster output
« on: January 07, 2022, 09:58:56 AM »
Hey everyone. I've been using Agisoft for quite a while with a solo camera/turntable rig  (single Lumix g100 and it's been great!). I am now looking to upgrade for faster scanning/output.

I'd like to get the community feedback on the plan I have in mind. Here it is:

- 1 or 2 of these https://www.esperhq.com/product/bundle/ ESPER bundles to connect up to 6 cameras
- 6 Canon EOS 2000D Rebel T7s
- Then I'm going to build some sort of rig for them.
- Should these cameras have any issue getting the job done?

Lastly, if anyone has a good guide to build a dome rig with 50-80 cameras I'D LOVE TO LEARN MORE because that is my goal.

Completely different shoes. I'm very confused why this is happening because I copied the same project and camera settings that I did in the other project where it came out flawless?

Looks like the results were worse. It stacked all cameras on top of each other.

Ok, will do. I'll reply with the results.

Sure Alexey,

I am scanning shoes on a turntable and rotating the shoe to get 3 different camera angles.

Screenshot 1 is the incorrect alignment, there should be a top right side and left side. Screenshot 2 is the perfect alignment I'm going for. Screenshot  3 is the settings I used for both.

Alexey thanks for the reply, since I posted this I did fix it by having multiple masks for each side of the object. Now for some reason, I'm having the same issue even though I haven't changed any settings? I have followed this https://agisoft.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000153949 along with just about every video I can find. The issue I'm having is that I am scanning a top 2 sides of an object using a turntable but when I go to align, it stacks some of the camera positions ontop of each other as seen in my original image 2.

Below I've attached an image of the error I'm getting. I have taken my photos and created the tie points than when I go to generate mesh I get his error.

General / Using turntable to get detail

When it comes to using the turntable, I'm aware you can do high, mid, and low shots but is there a way to get close/far and have agisoft still align them?

General / Re: Agisoft PhotoScan 1.4.1 - CPU and GPU Preferences

Ill bring this thread back to life :)

I'm currently running a gtx 1070 and an i9 9900k. My issue is that my GPU only hits 6-7% usage when processing a scan and when I check this option it puts all the stress on my CPU. Any thoughts on this?

General / Issues with image alignment when using tie point masking
« on: January 21, 2021, 08:04:26 PM »
Hey guys!

I have a strange issue I have 2 objects scanned under exact same conditions of lighting, camera settings, and alignment settings. I am using the method of masking the first image that doesn't have the object in it then applying the mask to tie points ( just like the existing banana example on the site ). Attached you can see the issues I'm having with the alignment.
