Hi.

I encountered a pretty frustrating problem in Metashape that I hope will be fixed soon.
I'm using the Metashape 1.8.2 build 14217.

As you can see on these three images, when I do a selection (by the way, please integrate a polygonal selection tool next time, would be really appreciated) on my point cloud, as intended, every points look to be selected.
But when I press "Delete", some of these points are still here. And the same problem occurs with meshes.





Could you please fix this?

Hi again.

I fixed the lag by regenerating the contour lines with a lower res DEM and now it works perfectly.
However, in Agisoft Viewer, once I import the contour lines, they will always appear on screen even if I disable them in the Layer window.
That's definitely a glitch that should be fixed.

Hi.

Here are the news.
I did another .obj export but this time, I have chosen the projected coordinate system (WGS84 / UTM zone 31N) instead of a geographic coordinate system (WGS84).
I successfully managed to import it into Agisoft Viewer.



But, the problem is still the same: the model won't come on top of my orthomosaic, where it's supposed to be. It seems like both are in two differents spaces for some reason.
However i'm really sure i didn't choose the wrong coordinate system this time.

I'm starting to lose hope, please could you help me?

EDIT : OK FIXED, I JUST EXPORTED A TILED MODEL INSTEAD AND NOW EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY, HURRAY!!

Hi.

I generated contour lines. But now the software is extremely laggy, unusable.



And when I import them in Agisoft Viewer, it doesn't respond, and even if I keep waiting, it will still be not responding.
Is there a fix for that?

Ok so it does appear now... but it's just a straight line.
I had this problem before when I was exporting models with the WGS84 coordinate system. So I always had to switch to the local coordinate system, which is really unfortunate.

Do you know a fix for this?

Hi.

When I try to import my .obj model, which uses a WGS84 coordinate system, in Agisoft Viewer, nothing appears, even though it says it finished importing it correctly.
When I double-click on my model to redirect the view to the model, it doesn't move at all.

I tried to do another .obj export which uses a local coordinate system this time but the same thing occurs.

Could you tell me if the problem comes from the software or if it comes from our project?
If you need more informations, feel free to ask me.

Hello Mathieu,

I've downloaded the archive and reviewed KML files contents - neither file has waypoints with 0.0, 0.0 coordinates and all files show the waypoints in a very close location, if opened in Google Earth.

I see.
So the problem comes from the DJI Pilot application then?

If you review the flight plan (camera tracks) in Metashape window, do you observe the same issue - are there any waypoints far from the actual model?

Is it possible, that "append" button has been accidentally pressed on the Animation pane toolbar at any point prior to the flight plan export?

Did you have time to look at my .kml files on the previous post I made?

I've attached the kml files on this post if you want to take a look by yourself, but I checked and my last waypoints for each .kml are correctly placed.

The suspicious location seems to be related to Latitude = 0 and Longitude = 0. Maybe there are some wrongly referenced parts in the project?

I don't think so.
If I remove this wrong waypoint from my .kml, everything will be back to normal?
I mean, is this a waypoint that has been moved away from my building or is it just a superfluous new waypoint?

Hi.

I'm using the version 1.8.0 build 13597 of Metashape.
I have a DJI Matrice 210 RTK V2 and my controller uses a screen called DJI Crystalsky.

I created a Mission Flight that I splitted into 7 kml files.
I imported them on my Crystalsky and I realized that the second .kml has a very oddly placed waypoint (the 48th one), as you can see on the picture:



What's weird is that in Metashape, every waypoint are correctly placed around my building.

What should I do? Is this related to the fact that the 1.8.0 version is unstable? Or maybe is it because of the coordinate system? Should I downgrade back to 1.7.6?

Bug Reports / Can't register Metashape Point Cloud with a laser scan in Recap

Hi.

I'm using the 1.8.0 build 13257 version.
I exported my point cloud as a .las file and tried to import it into Recap.
It did import successfully but the problem is when I try to merge this point cloud with a laser scan.
At the registration step, I do have my 360 panoramas that show up on the left side of the screen but on the other side, where there's supposed to be my point cloud, it doesn't appear. So I can't select 3 common points in order to do the alignment.
 
Where does this problem come from?
