I wouldn't rely on the sun sensor. The best practice for radiometric adjusment is the empirical line or a single reference gray panel.

Regarding the blending, most people use the mosaic (default) mode.

Hey guys,

When we import masks, does Metashape apply any distortion correction as it does for the images? I’m just wondering whether Metashape applies the mask to the original images or to the undistorted ones.

How this option works in 'Camera Calibration > Bands'? Is this useful when processing images with automatic ISO (e.g., ranging from 100 to 400)? I didn't find anything describing how it works, just some brief citation in multispectral workflow.

Is there any documentation regarding the tool 'assign images'? I would like to know how images are ranked. There is a past topic that a support member replied as being ranked by camera distance, center, view angles etc., but we don't have details about it and no official document so far.

The reason I would like to know more is because I'm trying to prioritize oblique positions instead of nadir ones (my whole flight is with a tilted camera by the way).

Build the ortho.  Then draw a polygon around an area you are not happy with.  Right click the polygon and select "Assign Images".
You will get a list of the images that contain that area and you can try them to see if any of them provide a more acceptable render.

Thank you, looks like I can do this to select oblique positions instead of nadir. I'll create another topic to know if there is any documentation regarding the assign images ranking.

As far as I know, Metashape and other photogrammetry software prioritize nadir-facing pixels when creating orthomosaics. Is there any way to change this?

General / Poor triangulation orthomosaic? Frames with different brightness

Hi, folks

I'm processing some images from an agricultural field, but I've noticed these significant differences in the orthomosaic.

They seem to be frames with different lighting conditions from the images captured by the camera (ISO 100, 1/800s). I've worked with high overlap, so it shouldn't be a problem. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I'm pretty new in this area.
