I had a freeze during Chunk Alignment. Unfortunately I didn't record memory.
I forced a reboot and restarted the process.

Same here. It is independent from source (Depth Maps or Dense Cloud). I could not find any other property to influence the result.
(MS 2.1.1 Standard)

General / Align Chunks

Hello,
I often have problems aligning chunks.
Here is a typical workflow:

1 Load Images in chunks
2 masking
3 Workflow - Align Chunks: Point Based, medium Accuracy, Limit 0, Apply Masks to Keypoints, Generic Preselection YES

As an example I try to align 2 Chunks of a building with 500 and 250 nicely aligned images.
Both share the same fassade (maybe 50x20 m overlap/?)). Chunk 1 includes the rear as well.
Result: Only Chunk 1 gets the (T), no alignment.

In my experience activating Generic Preselection helps a lot.
Nevertheless I would expect to have more success with the building example.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Does it matter if alignment differs (estimated or sequential) between chunks?
I guess no

Does it matter if image alignment is optimized?
So far it seems to me not making any difference

Hello,
as titel describes Meteshape from time to time freezes my whole system.
It happens on heavy tasks, e.g. aligning 7 chunks with total 2500 images. (On the other hand what isn`t heavy in photogrammetry?)
After hard restart the system same task runs through without any trouble.

Are there any suggestions how to fix that?

Here is a log:

I also attached a screenshot. It simply stops working at some point. In this case at frame 60.
I waited 6 minutes before I canceled.

It does not happen with all video files. So far I am unable to see a pattern.

Hello,
I recently updated from MS 2.0.0 to 2.1.1. Standard Version.
When I try importing video it gets stuck at some point. It is not freezing but the import does not continue middle of the process. I cannot remember having this problem with the former version ever. I tried to start MS from bash to gather any message regarding this. Unfortunately there is no output at all.
Hardware is an older Lenovo Gaming Laptop (i7, GTX 1070) Kubuntu 22.04 + eGPU (GTX 3060 Ti)
Please tell me If you need more information.
