thanks for the site link. maybe a multicamera setup IS possible for less than an arm and leg. 

If you want to try and do a multicamera set up with cheap cameras you need to look here:

SDM is an offshoot of the CHDK that is specifically geared towards syncing multiple cameras for stereo+ shooting.

The biggest downside is that pretty much all the cameras it works with are now available only used, so setting up a multicamera rig can take some leg work.

I've used this system to build a 28 camera rig using the canon sd1300.

I am currently playing with both meshlabs noise reduction as well as a smoothing brush in my voxel editor, but it would be awesome to set this up in PS instead, and the vertex confidence idea is really interesting.

This feature would be a godsend for me. Right now I am bringing my models into 3DCoat for clean up, and it is of the opinions that they are all 2 inches tall. I have to supercharge the voxel resolution of the models to get detail to show up. Also it would be nice to be able to set orientation in PS instead of later in a 3D editor.
